A Little More Applique

Midnight Garden, places

Don’t you just hate it when all it seems to want to do is rain when  all you would like to do is outside stuff!  Mike says it had been raining at home too the whole weekend.   We had a bit of rain off and on today we were going to go to Jamestown to look around but a lot of that is outside so we looked around the visitors center and then it stopped raining but you could tell it would do more – thought just a quick walk to the glass blower shop to watch and do the rest another day well wouldn’t you know it the glass blower was closed for the week!! That has happened at a couple places we have been now.  We well try Jamestown to walk to the old settlement another day.       It  looks like Monday well be rain too.  Work was being done inside but saw the gift shop looked like new displays are being built.

We went the very large Yankee Candle Shop – huge Christmas shop in there and is so pretty I found a very pretty bird ornament to bring home – must wrap carefully in bubble wrap and put in my carry on and make sure it won’t get broken.  This store is very large not like the small candle shops that are in the local malls.

I have worked some on the wool appliqué while watching movies on this rainy day – working with wool thread takes patience – do not cut long strands, do not pull tightly as thread can break easily if I was home I would use the Thread Heaven to condition the thread but I don’t have it with me – one coneflower almost done and the white flowers are finished.  I need to practice my stitches more to have them neater.

I haven’t been keeping up with the Craftsy Daily Deals for Quilter’s the link is on Wednesday’s post – I have tried to past the link and it might have gone through on the word there but not positive – has anyone gotten a good deal? I need to go look as I have a feeling the rain is going to be keeping us in most of Monday – I have a little laundry to do and Vicki said she needs to get her bills and payments in order.  I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t wander out at some point in between rain showers.

I have been blogging on my phone as I have not been able to get photos to insert on the IPad for some reason! I totally forgot how to do it.  I should have practiced a time or two before I left so my computer guru could remind me how to do it and just didn’t think of of it.

Lets hope the rain goes away by Tuesday so I can get a few photos of local stuff – because I am blogging by phone photos are taken with the phone  which means they are not the greatest – do better with the camera!

(I am compensated for any purchases made through my links.)

If you are trying to transfer pics from your phone to your iPad:
Open the pic. Athe bottom of the screen you will see an icon of a box with an arrow pointing up. Tap on the icon.
You can then send the pic to the iPad via AirDrop if you have a wifi connection

Thanks I have’t been taking many photos though so not worried about it and doing shorter and less post than normal until I get back home. I will give it a try and see if I can figure out what is wrong

I’m sorry we have welcomed you with such crappy weather. Chris promises me some sun tomorrow. Otherwise I’m going to need to buy one of those SAD lights.
