Y’all will get tired of these two quilts. I seem tobe stuck in a rut though and just working on these two right now. I normally have to have variety and switch constantly between 4 or 5 projects but all of a sudden I seem to just want to get some finished and working on the same things. Most likely this routine will get boring soon and I will all of a sudden switch out and go back to applique! I got 5 more of the Retro Air Ship Propellers sewed yesterday as it was a very chilly off and on rainy day – 37 for a high – after the 50’s-70’s for highs that we had been getting for a month it felt down right chilly and reminds you that technically winter is not over. I ventured outside briefly to collect the mail and then late in the afternoon between rain showers we got the apple tree covered and the blue hydrangea in case of freezing weather as they were leafed out already. I was going to cover the clematis but then decided if it gets ruined I can just cut it back and it should do alright.
The five I did Saturday
I wanted to see what they would look like laid out on the floor and what I thought of them – how many more to make etc. I have 6 more cut out I believe. Possibly will work on those today as it will be cold again today. I’m still thinking of a narrow sashing as I have seen a lot of this pattern with sashing and have liked it when I have seen it – possibly the solid medium gray Boundless brand that I bought from Craftsy last month. If I do sashing it would probably be about 1 inch wide.
I am still working on the upper right corner of the Handful of Scraps and most likely will be for some time! Some of these just set in place for the photo to make sure of color placement – I did work a little more on it last night and will today for my Slow Sunday Stitching with Kathy also linking to Quilting is More Fun than Housework.
Meant to take the photo from a different angle and didn’t so it looks like the area I am working on is the bottom – doesn’t really matter just that I have been saying top left corner.
Before I went to bed last night it did begin to snow lightly – not a lot and the weather map indicated it wouldn’t last long-kind of dark to get a good photo but just wanted to get one this is only our second snow fall this winter – we usually get at least a little more than this!
