Turning a Corner

Handful of Scraps, Retro Air Ship Propeller’s

Well that is the Handful of Scraps first corner is coming together – not quite there yet but almost!  Ready to sew a large section together up there at the top – maybe today? I’m not sure my hands were getting a little stiff last night as I was getting it to that point.

And four more of the propellers done – I have two more to piece that are already cut and then I will lay them back out to see the progress and how many more are needed  – unless I decide this is enough.  I think I might do more though because it is getting closer to being queen size – so might just as well get it there.  I think this one will be put in the stack to hand quilt – I have ideas for the circular motion of this quilt with big stitches and I do not think my machine quilting skills (or lack of ) are at the point were I could do it justice.  Linking to Em’s Scrapbag, Love, Laugh Quilt.

First up today though is cleaning the house – checking to see if a grocery run is in order and exercise – then sit and sew – Mike is working late for the next four days so I will leave things out on the table again and see if progress can be made.  Hope everyone had a good weekend.  I hear a blizzard is forming for the upper east – brother in Northern Maryland says anywhere from 8-15 inches !!  glad it is not here and happy we had our dusting of snow but ok – back to spring please – but looks like a couple more cold nights in the forecast.

Thanks for all that purchased from my links this weekend from the Craftsy sale – I appreciate it – every little bit earned supports my quilting habit Smile

(I am compensated for any purchases made through my links.)

both projects look great; they keep upping our snow total forecast for tonight and tomorrow. I am mostly thinking in lines of…do I have the kids for school delay or ALL day now 🙂

Love the newest propeller blocks! You are also making wonderful progress on the assembly of your beautiful Hexie quilt. (that sure looks tedious to stitch)

Handful of Scraps is just lovely! Are you going to do the applique also?
12-18″ predicted here. We usually have a big nor’easter in March, so I’m hoping this is it and we won’t have another.

Love how Handful of Scraps is coming along! And love seeing the number of Retro Air Ship Propeller blocks growing! You are really cranking them out….looking forward to seeing how you decide to put them together ….
We are back into the cold weather in Virginia….snow and/or freezing rain tonight and tomorrow…. UGH!!! …. we are not supposed to get a huge amount, but whatever we get, I hope it goes away quickly…I am ready for the spring weather to come back…to stay!! At least this should be our last blast of winter….I hope!!!

Love your propellers, they look ‘happy’! 🙂 Love your HOS too. Nothing better than scrappy. Hot and humid here and meteo predicts thunderstorms today and next couple of days. That means NO to yard work and YES to quilting! 🙂
