Hexies and Ready for Applique

quilts

Another hot lazy day spent ready and only doing a little bit of sewing.  Other than making granola yesterday and doing some laundry I finished one book and started the 3rd CJ Box book from the Joe Pickett series – the library seems to have all of these and I only have to wait about a week to get the kindle copy.  When I finish one I sign up for the next and by time I get it I have already finished one or two other books! Such is life in the hot summer – I tend to read a lot more in the summer then in the winter, especially when it is hot.  But enough about how hot it is her – more humid then really hot – but the weatherman says change is coming today – a cooler week ahead – can’t be soon enough for me.

I worked on basting hexies – and I am linking to Confessions of a Fabric Addict today and Crazy Mom Quilts .

And I got the applique going – the two pieces on the ends are stitched in place joining them to the middle and the whole thing is glue basted in place.

The cooler drier air has arrived here and it feels so good to have the windows open and have a breeze through the house.

I doubt I will be able to open windows daytime – but coming up this weekend maybe by Sunday night it might be in the low 60’s for a change if the humidity is low enough the windows will be open here too

It sounds like you did plenty of work to me, especially on your hexies and your pretty wall hanging! I just jumped out of bed and did my watering before the heat. It’s suppose to be the hottest day of the year I heard. I got my Crimson Rose quilt kit today. I got it through your link to Craftsy. It was on clearance and 60 percent off! What a bargain! This one is added to my long list of quilts to make, lol. Craftsy also put a free fat quarter in the box too!

thanks! I try to have a little of all kinds of projects going and therefore I must start a machine piecing top right now – all of my projects are by hand and my fingers need a break!
