I just found your site from Pioneer Woman, and I love it! My 3 daughters just took a sewing class because they want to learn to quilt, and I have gotten interested also. I got interested in sewing again while they were taking their class, made some curtains, and baby blankets, etc. I have caught the quilting bug but am very intimidated. I saw where you visited NW Arkansas, and that's where I live! So your blog will become a favorite of mine, I'm sure. I live in Lowell. I think I will be motivated & inspired by your quilts and tips and ideas. Thanks!

Hi, Karen,

I was reading The Pioneer Woman's blog, and when I saw your link with the word "quilt" in it, I popped right on over. We have quite a lot in common:

Love quilting, gardening, reading...not hiking so much, but do enjoy a long walk in the woods. If it's not too hot, not too uphill, and not too many brambles or poison ivy!

Married to the same wonderful, beautiful man since 1974, with children and grandchildren and lovely in-laws.

And I understand about your hair, too. Mine is all white at the temples, and dark everywhere else. And I gave up coloring it long ago when I figured out I was paying a hundred bucks for a good color job and the white started showing at my temples before the week was out.

And we are neighbors! Well, more or less. I'm just across the state line from you in Texas.

Love your work. Your stitches look so even! Makes me want to be home quilting instead of sneaking around on the internet while I'm in a boring meeting at work!

Cheers!

I was lurking on your blog here...your quilts are beautiful! I don't quilt myself (I knit...I find it much more forgiving!), but I love the artistry that goes into them.

If you and your husband ever travel through Ohio in your motorhome, there's a great little quiltshop in my hometown.
