I pressed all my templates (freezer paper) down for the purple Happy Daze<\/em><\/strong> circle and then completely forgot to take photos of it \u2013 but I do have some of it laid out while I was working on it \u2013 there is a lot of cutting to do for one circle and I never did get much of the sewing done on it yesterday \u2013 but a little done better than nothing.\u00a0 I always like to have one finished block out for inspiration while I am doing another.\u00a0 These curves are a little tedious \u2013 just curved enough that you have to watch it.\u00a0 I like to put a pin in each end to have it in the right spot and then use the tweezers to help it along while I stitch.<\/p>\n\"IMG_3420\"<\/a>\n

These circles will all be put onto a Moda<\/em> Marble black \u2013 it isn\u2019t \u201cblack black\u201d but almost if you know what I mean- it is very mottled black with some almost a grayish\/green.\u00a0 It is hard to describe the color \u2013 the photo doesn\u2019t quite show it right – I really need to cut the squares out and get the 3 that I will have stitched before I need to do them all at once.\u00a0 I don\u2019t have the pattern for this quilt.\u00a0 I am using swirly circles from another pattern that I have and the \u201cturkey tails\u201d are from the Dresden Plate accuquilt die.\u00a0 I will figure out the rest when I get to each section by following the photo that I have \u2013 some of it might end up being a little different.<\/p>\n\"IMG_3424\"<\/a>\n

This is a large Honeysuckle bush that comes back year after year.\u00a0 Some years it stays green all winter other years like this year it all turned brown and I wondered if it had died and all of a sudden a couple weeks ago the green leaf\u2019s came back.\u00a0 The flowers on the bush are different than Honeysuckle vine whose perfume can be almost overwhelming to some.\u00a0\u00a0 Personally I like it \u2013 Mike doesn\u2019t.\u00a0 This bush has tiny flowers and not a lot of fragrance.<\/p>\n\"IMG_3419\"<\/a>\n

The flowers are just starting right now to the middle left there is one you can barely see \u2013 this bush – actually bushes there are more than one but hard to tell where one starts and another starts.\u00a0 I didn\u2019t plant these they just started to grow one year I don\u2019t know when \u2013 it is one of those things that all of a sudden you notice them as they aren\u2019t real close to the house \u2013 it would make for a nice hedge.<\/p>\n\"IMG_3417\"<\/a>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
