Off and on yesterday I was mainly working on the hexies.\u00a0 I did not sit at the sewing machine and the 3rd corner is done and ready to attach to the main body of the quilt.\u00a0 After I worked some on it Friday night I was mainly just left with this much to do.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>And it got done<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>I attached it and here is the 3rd corner<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>I brought it and the big top to the quilting room so I could lay it out and pin it in the right area so I wouldn’t make any mistakes in getting started.\u00a0 Linking to Kathy’s Slow Sunday Stitching<\/a><\/strong> – and Kate’s Life in Pieces<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>I pin the first hexie securely and it is ready for stitching over the next couple days.\u00a0 I will lay it out on the deck when it gets done.\u00a0 Shouldn’t take more than a couple days.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Only a small amount of hand quilting was done on Saturday night<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>I went grocery shopping and I managed to sit by the flower bed down at the garden to star pulling weeds for about 30 minutes and try to get this garden back in shape – it has not been touched in almost 3 months.\u00a0 One side is about one third done – I have some pruning to do too.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>And this is what it looked like before – this is the side I will try to put in 30 minutes at least today.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Another side is this – yes you can even see any flowers on this side – it had 4-5 rose bushes which did not do well last year and did worse this year with no attention – I will look them over but I have a feeling the rose bushes will be dug out and replaced with perennials of some sort.\u00a0 Roses just take so much effort and I admit I will not be working on the garden so hard in the future.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>I had completely forgotten that I left 2 tomato plants in the garden that looked like they might survive and notice one skinny plant has some blossoms on it and one tomato growing and yes it is surrounded by weeds.\u00a0 Mike said he will get in here with the weed eater to clear the pathways and then help rebuild the garden – we will see how quickly that gets done – I think it will move slowly.<\/p>\n
