As we didn’t have company yesterday and it was just the two of us I got a lot of sewing done on almost all projects. Yes I did cook a larger than normal meal too but while the turkey was roasting I was sewing. I got the applique glue basted and started a little stitching on the long narrow greenish color piece. I need to get a better photo of this color it is brighter than this.
I did a little machine quilting and got this half almost complete of the white block areas – almost – not quite all.
This part was done on Wednesday night of the Red and Green– I didn’t touch it on Thursday.
I will try to get a better photo of the hand quilting on Uncommon, Common Bride in the daylight. I finished the center medallion and have moved on to the first border – right now quilting around the shapes. Last night I was working on this while we were watching the first of the Hobbit series (second series) we got it off of Amazon. The second one is out in the middle of the December and we realized we had never seen the first one when it came out last year.
I found these wonderful roses at Kroger’s grocery store for only $9.99 aren’t they beautiful and they were almost completely closed the other day and opening so pretty now. I don’t know about all of you but I do not do the madness of shopping on Thanksgiving or on the Friday afterwards and I never have. I just do not like crowds like that and would rather shop off the computer if I can
I will stay home today too.
Don’t forget the sale continues on Craftsy — links on the side bar– the sales last until December 2 – all classes are $19.99 fabric is on sale too and so is yarn.

Karen,
Thanks for letting us know about the Craftsy sale. I signed up for a quilting class and my husband signed up for three photography classes! I did get an email this morning about the classes but had already signed up thanks to you!
Love your work! I am also a hand quilter but have been trying to learn machine quilting so I can get more tops quilted! I have taken two classes and will take this online class but I am not good! My heart is still in hand quilting but I am slow!
Love your work! You are such an inspiration!
I don’t like shopping any day of the year. I went from being a catalog shopper to an internet shopper. I hate having to go to a store.
We’re having a nice weekend away with friends. I’m making progress hand sewing a binding while I’m here.
Those roses are truly gorgeous!!!! I had pictured red ones for some reason when you mentioned them the other day. These are much more to my liking! Your Juki is serving you well and bringing that quilt to life in a super way!!!!! Congrats!!!! And, of course, the others are fab!!! Our dinner was 7 and the 2 grandsons came along after their trek to their father’s for the day. Was a good time shared!!! Hard to believe it’s history!! On to the sewing……… Hugs…….
Hope you had a great T’giving. Looks like you got a lot done. I’m staying home this weekend, too. No shopping til mid-week, I think. Still have the guys to shop for. Packages are almost ready to mail.
