Yes that is right I cranked down the Red and Green quilt yesterday morning after an evening the night before of quilting and I can see the final border! Well I be done by Christmas – I really do not no at this point but it is possible.
This is the area quilted on Saturday night
And this is what I could see Sunday morning when I rolled those rollers on down
it is always such a good feeling to see the final border in sight and know that I am getting so close to the end. Of course this is still about 30 hours of quilting left to do – so that is why I don’t know if I will be done by the end of the year.
Yesterday I did finish the machine quilting on Child’s Play – all that is left now is getting the binding on it. Here it is hanging over the quilting frame so one row is not showing
The backing
The quilting – I will be glad to get the binding on it and washed and dried to get the crinkly look on it – I will show it again later.
Happy Birthday to my dear daughter Jessica up in Wisconsin – the years fly by!!

You have achieved a lot again! The applique pops up nicely – and I love the Child’s Play quilt 🙂
Really like the backing for Child’s Play and you did a wonderful job on the quilting. If your fingers can take it, you should have time to finish the quilt before Christmas.
Looking great. Keep at it.
I LOVE your applique. I need to check out your tutorial and try, try, and try again.
Keep up the GREAT work.
Your Childs Play is looking great! Really exciting to see the end in sight on the Red & Green quilt! I know that always helps with the motivation a bit too.:)
Beautiful and very fast.
Your red and green is going to be awesome too! It sure is a lot of work making these but they are so worth it! Love the lines you are doing on the appliqued border. Will set it off nicely!
Exciting!!!! The “finish” line is in sight!!! Hugs…….
They are both Beautiful Karen
Child’s Play looks so happy! Beautiful.
Karen, sorry to reply a day late to your post but it was just now that I could read it with my full attention… so much eye candy pic wise I didn’t want to miss a word of this post. I was not let down either… thanks for sharing your foray into trying to sew a straight line with a sewing machine… next time I do machine quilting I will MARK MY LINES like you did 🙂 So excited you can see the top border in your frame… it is almost like christmas to see the beginning of the quilt when you get to take it out for binding… hopefully that will be a victory for you… do you have a plan for the next one to go in the frame yet ?? lol Thanks for blogging!
