Sunday got up to 88 degrees!! too hot too fast – but it was sunny and I have plenty of shade at my house so it was ok with me – I just wish the temperature didn’t change so drastically. We did have to put our A/C on Sunday night to cool the house off I had the windows open all day and the temp did start to rise too much by evening to sleep comfortably. At least it wasn’t humid!
The first roses are opening!
The deck is cleaned off and so is the table although with pollen the way it is the table needs to be cleaned daily
A comfy spot for reading on the porch and if you look closely in the window you will see a quilt on the bed
I just noticed that.
More shady areas to sit – I have my pick of spots I know – all are good for sewing or reading – or just plain being lazy.
I got my flower petals and circles cut out for the stripy quilt. That didn’t take long and it was almost all I did in the line of sewing on Sunday. I am linking up to Judy at Patchwork Times today and do hope to make a little progress on quilts today especially if it gets as warm as it did yesterday.
More plants to plant today. I did get a little more quilting done last night but not really anything to show – progress goes slow sometimes when you are enjoying the first warm days of summer.
All She Cooks is having a give away that is not quilt related but is a sponsored give away that helps feed America – win pasta sauce, coupons, a spaghetti bowl and wooden spoons.

I LOVE shady gardens! Well, except for a veggie garden. I had to do a little cleaning on the deck before I could get out there to sew yesterday … I thought it was just dust, but it was pollen. 😮
You lucky girl — anything in the 80s sounds great — it’s been chilly here. I think your warm weather is headed our way though. Hope you get some sewing done!
We are still waiting for 70’s…….hoping for some 60’s!!!! Summer is coming……someday………………………..
Beautiful porches 🙂 I love sun dappled shade ! Kathi
Hi Karen! I LOVE that deck, I love it!. Just thinking myself being down a tree sewing, enjoying the weather, listening to the birds, looking at the plants and trees, that’d be peeeerrrfect!!. Getting a plane ticket for the first flight to Arkansas jejejeje, just joking. Lucky you, enjoy it!. Love
