Badlands #3

ok – last post from the Badlands which we were at back on August 10th and 11th.  We are now somewhere in Wyoming at this posting I am not sure as I was writing it on the 11th Smile

The Scenery:

I believe I took this through the window

We didn’t see any this visit

One of the trails – some are handicapped accessible making it nice for everyone.  the board walk will go about 1/4 mile to 1/2 and then it turns to dirt and rock.

A “window” through the rock

Another trail – we took a lot of short trails and one or two that were close to a 1/2 mile.

That is it from the Badlands – next post I should have some progress to report on my Tumbling into Insanity hand piecing project on the road.  I brought along a Lemoyne Star wall hanging to piece and a sock loom – have not touched either at this posting.

Great pictures, Karen! So desolate isn’t it. I guess the rattlesnakes like it! So glad you avoided them. Looking forward to your progress on your tumbler quilt.

Wow, what gorgeous views … although that rattlesnake sign might have been enough to have made me turn back. 😮

Don’t you love that part of our country? We have traveled in that area on the motor cycle a couple of times and we just love it. Your posts are reminding me how much we enjoyed our time in South Dakota, Montana and Wyoming!
