Both of my flights went smoothly yesterday and I am now in Wisconsin at my daughter’s house. She just left to get the kids to school so thought this would be a good time to get a blog post in as I never even open my computer bag yesterday.
Yesterday at the airports for some reason I just didn’t feel like doing the needle work that I brought along – I had the redwork stuck in my carry on and although I did work on it a little bit I didn’t get a lot of work but I’m sure I will get some work done off and on all week while the kids are at school and while Jessica gets a little of her work done – she works from home on the computer.
I had quite a few e mails yesterday and will sitting at the airport I tried to answer them but started to have trouble with the airport’s wi-fi so just put it all away – so thanks for all the messages yesterday!
The box of quilts was waiting on the front porch when we got back to the house from them picking me up at the airport. I got the camera out quickly to take photos, but didn’t really get good ones. Maybe I will remember to take more later. Here is Ciera with her quilt.
And as you can see I will need to get another one of Utah as he has it up in front of his face – I didn’t realize that in all of them he did that!
The kids greeted me at the airport with a bouquet of tulips! how sweet – I will be here for 10 days so they will most likely last that whole time.
Last night Jessica got out paints and canvas’s and we had a family paint night
Our masterpieces LOL
A photo out the window of the plane over Illinois. A little snow here and there – not a lot and it was about 56 degrees when I got up here to the north – it was about the same as it was at home and it should be between 40-60 most of the time that I am here.
And I will toss in one quilt photo. I finished this row of the quilt on Wednesday night, I am adding these photos of Granny’s Got Style so that I will be able to go back and see how I did the corners.
March is National Quilting Month and Craftsy is having a sale on classes to celebrate it – up to 50% off on classes through the 16th of the month – click on the link or the photo to go to the classes. There are a lot of fun classes listed and you might find something to suit you!

Looks like the kids are quite pleased with their quilts ( going on assumption with Utah since he’s hidden~ 🙂
So happy you made your trip safe and sound! Love the tulips you were greeted with at the airport! Refreshing after a long day traveling.. then to have a paint party too sounds totally fun! Memories being made 🙂 Love that the box of quilts was waiting for ya’ll when you got home from the airport too! Very nice!!! Please photo that quilt at your daughters you wanted to see while you are there… would love to see some of your previous work 😉
Enjoy your visit! Congrats on being ready to roll your frame a bit when you get home too! Kathi

Karen, glad you made it safely and the quilts arrived safely too. Love the pics of the grandkids with their quilts!!!! Have fun!
I wondered, at first, if that picture of Illinois (from the plane) might have been hear my neck of the woods, but when I saw all the snow, I knew that you had to be a good ways to the north of us. 😉 Glad you – and the quilts – made it to Wisconsin safely.
