Saturday was such a beautiful day that I wasn’t sewing much – in fact I don’t think I touched fabric until evening. We were working on our raised vegetable beds. A photo taken early in the day – but later in the day I had the second bed part way ready – more soil to be put in it today and the fertilizer. I am hoping Mike will make one or two more on the left side of the one that is full. We have room for it – just need to get the soil and fertilizer to fill them up. I think another run to Lowe’s is in order tomorrow to get more lumber!
I made one more Lemoyne Star while the evening news was on. They take about 45 minutes by hand for each star. So it is a good piece to work on while the news is on and you don’t want the machine noise. I am linking to Kathy’s Quilts: Slow Sunday Stitching – if I get any slow stitching done in today will most likely be on one of these projects late in the day.
Work on Granny from Thursday and Friday nights (I think Thursday?)
One of the times I took a break from the outside activities yesterday I did a little fabric shopping! Craftsy is having a sale on supplies so this is the perfect time to buy!! And I admit I bought. You might want to run on over and see what they have, kits, fabric, pre-cuts, rulers, and some notions – through tonight. I love buying fabric when it is on sale. I found a backing for the Floral Fantasy quilt for when I am ready to quilt it as it will be next on the frame and I got some more white fabrics too for backgrounds – well I will show you all of it when it arrives! I thought seeing as I didn’t go to Paducah for the show I deserved a treat LOL
As a Craftsy affiliate I do get commission on sales of Classes and pdf files (patterns) – anything that isn’t mailed – but Arkansas is one of the “nexus” states that want tax money on internet sales so I no longer get commissions on fabric sales and anything that is mailed – so I am just letting you know about the fabric sale – but I do not get any commission if you buy something – I just wanted to share the sale information.

FYI the link to Craftsy is invalid; it’s to http://karensquilting.com/blog/d=264875&m=29190&u=833321. Just so you know. And as soon as I’m done here, I’m going to go check them out. I did buy plenty of fabric in Paducah, but I’m always a sucker for a good sale. 😉
Looks like you had a much nicer day than we did yesterday … rainy and dreary. The sun is shining today … maybe there will be some outside time for me today.
thanks Kathy I will see to get that fixed
So glad you had a nice yard day to get things caught up outside yesterday… and time to stitch some last night.. your Lemoyne stars are looking sooo nice too! I just bought backing for an upcoming wall hanging.. but found a steal on eBay for my fabric fancy. Hopefully I will be able to afford a fun choice of fabrics like Craftsy sells in the near future though 🙂 If so I will follow your link! 🙂 Kathi
Your quilting is coming along nicely! Love your raised beds. I’ve been trying to get Richard to do this for years to help with bending as much. We have a sawmill so the lumber would be free…just the dirt. We have plenty of horse manure so I could always throw some of that in. LOL! I haul it to the garden every year and it is great.

Enjoy your stitching AND gardening! 🙂
The Lemoyne stars are beautiful. Your quilting on Granny is pretty also.
Your beds look lovely and look like they will get plenty of sun. I still need to plant cucumbers and some squash seeds and my garden will be done. Just too wet right now. I really love your Le Moyne stars! Is that a batik you are using on them?
