Not Much Quilting

Until the weather gets really hot and humid I most likely will be making short bits of progress in the sewing room.  Yesterday I don’t think I even picked anything up until the middle of the afternoon – my Monday was spent cleaning house, laundry, grocery shopping and exercise.  Even though it is so nice outside I am going to have to look my projects over and get more work done if I want to get any of these finished – they all have a long way to go before they are done.

For the Casewell Quilt block I did sit down and get started prepping for about an hour on Monday afternoon after I got home from exercise and grocery shopping – the blue heart flower is glue basted in place and the pink circles are basted and ready for me to pull the thread tight around the Mylar circle and press.  For a change I am trying what several have mentioned they do – with a light box I traced the design on the fabric and will lay the pieces directly on top and see if I like doing it that way.  Linking to Esther’s WOW today

One more star was made while the evening news was on and added to the wall.

A little more stitching on Winter Wonderland – I took this outside with me for awhile two different times and got a bit more done.

And there is almost always some progress on Granny’s Got Style as that is normally my evening project – I work on it almost every night and this is what got done on Sunday night.  I am linking to a Quilt Story today.

Just the same old projects – nothing new to share!

I am always amazed by your progress! The weather here is nice as well. I spent a lot of time outside yesterday. It was in the mid-80’s

I always tell myself that the best quilts are going to take awhile. Little bits of time add up to so much progress! It’s nice to have other things to do to break things up.:)

What a lovely variety of projects you are working on. The LeMoyne Stars are possibly my favourite because of the colour palette you have chosen. I wish I had the tenacity to make some progress every day like this.

Enjoy seeing your progress. Sometimes small steps bring out the best results. Enjoying the beautiful weather outdoors. Weather predicts rain today so I’ll be working on machine quilting a small project.
