One more day! and then on Wednesday rain and cooler temperatures – so ready for it. Yesterday I didn’t do much in sewing at all. No progress on the Postage Stamp to show.
Progress is on Floral Fantasy as I continue to quilt most evenings. These two areas got done on Sunday night and I rolled it down and started on the left side again on Monday night. I am linking to Esther’s Quilt Blog.

I decided to start a small hand piecing project that will go in the project box for traveling and be worked on now though too – maybe I will be done before we go? who knows. It is going to be something simple using mainly 2.5 x 5 inch pieces. I had a charm package that I won sometime back and combined with some white/beige pieces on the shelf it will become a table topper or baby quilt.
No name as of yet – just started – right now I am aiming for 40 x 40 we will see!

I sure hope you are right that fall is on it’s way. Small projects are fun to squeeze in between those long term projects.
I think today is going to be our hottest yet but later in the week your break is to travel our way. Several more hot and muggy ones here to go through yet.
The rain is supposed to start here at about dinner time. I’ll only get to enjoy the cooler weather for one day, but that’s ok as I’d rather be on the beach anyway. 😉 I’m intrigued by what I see so far on your newest project.
Really looking forward to some cooler weather too, although August was for the most part, absolutely amazing. I don’t think I’ve ever seen my grass green at the end of summer before.
I hope some of that cooler weather comes here too! I went for a walk this morning. Only a mile and a half and it was unpleasant.

we are having sun and rain today here in Ga.
I think we are supposed to get cooler weather in Virginia starting in a few days. I sure hope so….and I hope we get some rain as well….everything is so dry!
Anxious to see your new hand piecing project evolve! I love hand piecing….it’s my preferred method of quilt making….It takes me a while to make a quilt, since I am a hand quilter as well, but I really enjoy the process, so slow is okay!

Oh wow, I’ll send you all our rain. We’ve had 22 inches since July 1. We’re 10 inches above normal for the year. We have had 2 days below 90 so see cooler fall coming but the rain continues.
