Finally our bedroom furniture is all here although one piece will need to be replaced as there is a chip of wood out of it – one of the drawers – on the front no less they took a photo of it and I’m following up with a phone call this morning and will send another photo if need be. I told them if they just replace the drawer that is ok but it needs doing. Our room is not huge and once you get the furniture in it always seems to take up more space then you think it will – they keep making furniture bigger and bigger it seems.
The two dresser’s side by side – you can see the chip of wood out of the bottom drawer – still need to do all the decorating and hang photos back up and wall hangings – I took everything down as we put the bed on the opposite wall then it had been on and all needs redoing – I’m thinking of re-painting the room also after the holidays – maybe a very light gray? not sure – something neutral so it won’t clash with quilts of all colors. This is our first new bedroom furniture in about 28 years or so. That old set was starting to fall apart and was kind of inexpensive to begin with – we thought after so many years we deserved a new set and for sure needed a new mattress (we have had at least two new mattresses with the old set).
I got cookies baked and still a little more to do. Made biscotti also and want to dip one end in chocolate so that needs to be done later today. More behind these that you can just see the top of one container.
Biscotti getting ready to be put in for the final drying before getting done – I felt like I was in the kitchen all day yesterday and just finished the chocolate chip cookies when the two guys came with the furniture so I took a short break and then sent them on their way with some cookies to eat on their drive back to the store.
This Wagon’s West block is moving slowly but I am sitting down now and then to work on – what can I expect at this time of year!
Aniya’s Xmas sock done – I did the sock and Melanie did the stitching on the cuff – the name shows up better at a distance.
All Craftsy classes are on sale up to 50% off today through the 26th. Thanks for all that order through my links.

LOVE your new bedroom furniture.. and a light grey would rock that wood color too! 🙂 It would leave you with a bit of a modern but clean look I think.. my home is grey with white trim and plugs.. what color are your plugs and switch covers??? Lovely quilts on your bed too btw!!!!
Aniya’s stocking is sooo precious! Perfect size too! I am pondering making one for my grandson to keep here for tomorrow morning and future Christmases… just can’t decide yet.
Love your Wagon’s West progress… and all your baking is great! I need more BIG rubbermade tupperware… hmmm
Have a blessed Christmas and take time to relax some amongst all your activity so you can enjoy your family on the 26th! Kathi
it’s funny ; if you had gotten furniture that belonged to a queen or a millionaire, I’d still notice your lovely quilts on the bed and rack first, lol! 🙂 It certainly makes sense to just replace the drawer, not the whole piece.
How pretty the stocking turned out!
Your room will be lovely once you put your personal touches up.
I have seen some really nice light grays as well as creamy whites with just a touch of yellow that seem to make all the colors in the rest of the room just pop and work together. We did our bedroom and it’s just so cozy feeling. I switch the quilts in the bed every couple of months and so far they all are complemented by the color. The wood furniture seems more detailed too.
I will be doing more rooms in the house this color. It’s almost a white, but not a tan tone like antique white. Last fall when I bought the paint it was called ” moonlight Galaxy”
Who thinks up these names? Anyway they change the colors and names each season.
When I went back in the spring the closest I could find was ” pineapple sorbet”
Geesh!
Love your new bedroom furniture! I also think a light gray would look great….it is a great neutral and will look good with any other color!!
That Wagons West block is looking great….love those fabrics together!
Looks like you had a successful outcome with all your baking!
Beautiful stocking….Melanie’s stitching is awesome!!
Not sure I will be on the iPad tomorrow or the next day, so just in case, I want to go ahead and wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas….and safe travels to your family who will be making the trip to see you…..Merry Christmas!!
Pretty furniture. It is a shame about that chipped drawer, but I am sure that will be rectified. Of course, what did I see that I thought was beautiful? The quilt rack is fantastic, as are all those quilts around the room. I have one more type of cookie to bake then I am truly done….except for Christmas dinner. Yours look delicious. It has been a while since I made biscotti. Yum. Merry Christmas!
So sorry about the chip~ but I love your new furniture! And the quilts around the room really pop! I spent a day cookie baking and called it good. Now I am trying to finish sewing those last gifts. 😮 Merry Christmas!!
I love the furniture! But I’m like Deb, I’m drawn immediately to the quilts!
Will you share your biscotti recipe?
I love your new furniture! (I hope they won’t give you grief over replacing that drawer.) I’ll be watching to see what you decide about paint. Our room needs painting, too, and I have sort of settled on a grayish green–but there’s green and green, and I want to make sure that both yellow greens and bluish greens will go with it so that whatever I decide to use in quilts will be okay. I’ve had paint chips stuck to the walls for weeks and was going to paint this month, but just can’t get myself to commit. Ugh!
