Weekend? Already?

Where did the week fly to – It seems like it was just Tuesday and all of a sudden late yesterday I realized it was Friday – LOL –no really I did know what day it was but the week flew by for some reason.  Before you know it Christmas well be here and I haven’t even thought to get the tree out yet.  I guess I better start to work on that next week.

I got the last of my Black Friday quilting sales items yesterday – 8 yards of kona cotton which will be used for sure – my staple in quilting – the package of fossil ferns for the circle quilt to make sure I have enough.  How about you?  Did anyone get in on Black Friday sales? What kind of things did you buy – good deals?

Of course getting that package of Fossil Ferns reminded me to get my Quilty 365 circles prepped and ready to work on this weekend as I am doing them weekly (weekends) not daily.  Here are some I picked out for this week to work with.  I will need to figure out where to cut my circle or place my circles on a couple of these to keep as much as the natural fabric design as I can.

Binding has started on Baby Bricks – one side down 3 more to go.

Some of you might remember I said we were getting a new bedroom set (our Xmas present).  It took us a long time to make up our minds what we wanted but at the end of October we decided and placed our order.  The mattress set came in quickly – the bed after about 5 weeks – then we were told that the dressers and bedside tables were delayed and wouldn’t come in until after the new year – so we made arrangements to have the bed & mattress delivered as we really wanted our new mattress!  They will not charge us for two deliveries as it is their fault the whole order didn’t come when they said it would so that is good otherwise we would have waited.  I will wait to post any photo until the whole room is arranged – but slept on our new mattress last night!  The old bedroom set we had for about 30 years believe it or not with a couple different mattresses over the years – we were due for a new set.  The new mattress is a Tempera-Pedic and so different from what we had and the bed is higher than what we had  – well take a little getting used to – in a good way!
