Mike had the day off yesterday so with a 3 day weekend we were doing work outside and I really didn’t get any photos taken – just regular outside work. In between helping him with some things I did get enough circles done to make the next row of Final Frontier but that was it – and it was partly done on Thursday so yesterdays sewing barely counts! 13 circle squares ready to be laid out in a row to decide color and then sew them – maybe I will get that done today?
I did get some photos of the flowers and gardens last night when I realized I had nothing to blog about and that was it.
Believe me when I say although these strawberries look good there are only 10 close to picking stage! I do not think I will get many strawberries this year – these are first year plants and I don’t know how long it takes to get a good yield. One berry was already getting eaten by something and I have a feeling it will be hard to get the rest as they ripen without the critters getting them first – I might forgo berries next year and plant more veggies.
The potato plants on this end are getting pretty tall.
Before I forget here is a link to some free patterns on Craftsy. Here are two of them that I thought were kind of neat. Treat yourself to something free for mother’s day!
This one is called “Kissing Baby Fish” I think this one would really be good with scraps.
And if you want to look at more free stuff – here is a site called Sewing Support with 71 free baby bib patterns

Your clematis, roses and iris are just gorgeous!
I remember the year a squirrel ate almost all of the berries in my raised bed. After that I put a mesh cover on. Then the year it rained non-stop and they rotted. Then the year they got a fungus. LOL lucky each year if I get 25-50 berries 🙂
Little being accomplished here, either! Have been assisting a friend through and after surgery, so sewing has taken backseat. Did get a little handwork done at the hospital, though. Pretty flowers! I hope spring arrives here, soon!
Your flowers are beautiful! My daffodils just started blooming yesterday although they have been budding for weeks. The lilacs look about ready to pop any day now. So spring is slowly coming here.
I got that Windmills at Night pattern last year but haven’t used it yet. You have reminded me that I have it, and maybe I will pull together some scraps this summer and work on it. I have lots of black and white fabrics that would work with some accent – hot pink? lime? we’ll see!
Happy Mother’s Day, Karen – enjoy the spring!
