I think it is time to get this table full of something again – I got the binding machine stitched to the child quilt “Critters” and then cleaned the table off. It doesn’t usually stay this empty for long.
I had enough yellow fabric left to do the binding with it so I will spend the next 3 or 4 days or whatever it takes to get the stitching done on the back now.
Lighting was kind of weird in the quilt room when I took this photo of the work done on Tumalo Trails from Tuesday night.
So instead of going back to EPP like I would kind of like to do I feel I need to spend a few days working on something else – so will it be the applique on Morning Glory which has been neglected?
Or back to the next round of Hertfordshire Quilt?
I might continue to take a break from both of these and just to the binding on the quilt and work on the Birds and try to make progress on those. I still need to get the other charity quilt quilted and bound too. I think we are supposed to have the charity quilts done and on their way by May 20th? was it? I need to check.
How did you spend your day and have you finally had a week without snow? The weather still says we might drop to 32 degrees on Saturday and maybe 29-30 on Sunday I guess I will be running around covering everything up again – the blue hydrangea is the only plant that looks like it was damaged a little on the ends of all the stems.

no precipitation yesterday here in PA at all which was such a nice change. Supposedly we are to get a day or two of 70 degrees or higher coming up !
we are to get rain sometime on Friday or Friday night bringing the cool front through – tired of these cold fronts
I have completed 1 string of apple cores I am working on by machine… they are a bit tedious but fun too… time passes quickly as I work on them. Still have a few more boxes to unload … mainly not quilty craft stuff.. hoping to get to those today but been feeling a bit under the weather so waiting for that to pass to have the focus to unload the last of the boxes too. 🙂
I like the yellow binding you got on.. hopefully the other quilt will quilt up quickly also via machine quilting and you can find a pleasing binding for it too so you can meet the deadline… kids will def be happy to receive those quilts 😀
I rarely have a cleaned off table too.. nice to see yours cleaned off.. but I love seeing it jumbled up with a project you are fervent about too 😀
We are due for warm weather the next few days then a cold snap coming a couple more times… maybe May before we are clear of all the cold snaps at our elevation !!! Kathi
I like having the table cleaned off and ready to start a new day! I sure can get it messy fast. Yes I think it will be May before the warm weather comes and with you being in the low mountains now you will find you need an extra week or two to get warmer. Glad the applecores are going ok
We have had a few days inching their way into the high 40s, low 50s, but this weekend another snowstorm is being predicted. You are making good headway on several projects. It’s nice to have options so you can choose what to work on!
yes many options on what I can spend the day working on – I shouldn’t get bored at all should I. I am glad we have not been normally in the highs you mention – a day or two yes but overall we have been in the high 50’s to 70 most days – but this weekend well be chilly again
I am so in love with your Hertfordshire quilt! Ah, decisions, decisions! I always have to wait to see what the morning brings. I’ve been making table toppers for my daughters newly built nightstands. Bindings go on today.
I have to get the book out and see what size of fabric I need to cut if I get that project out to work on today – I think this next round is the squares and hst’s again
Crazy weather isn’t it. I so want to a little garden planted but keep putting it off. Maybe this weekend will be the last delay.
I would be embarrassed to show how many choices I have, brave woman but you do have a more sensible amount to choose from.
LOL – well I’m trying to not start anymore – I have enough but so many more in my head – I am so glad I have not planted a garden – my brother is constantly covering his things up with this weather
That clean cutting table definitely deserves a new project! Or at least new work on a WiP! I really like the yellow binding on your donation quilt – bright and happy. I spent some time yesterday getting the backing and batting ready for my String Star quilt – hoping to get it basted and ready to quilt today.
I can’t start a new one!! I have too many in progress – I decided to get back to Hertfordshire today cutting pieces for the next round – so far I have the 74 – 1 5/8ths inches cut
I love that yellow binding on the Critters quilt, such a lovely quilt for a little one. Boy your table is clean, l bet it won’t be for long. I love to have a lot of projects on hold too, it makes it so exciting. I just bought a wholecloth quilt kit yesterday just to quilt one day. They really fascinate me for some reason. It’s going to be 82 here in the DFW area today, so air is on. I bought some herbs and a cherry tomato for the patio, probably have to bring it in since it will be down to 39 Saturday. Hopefully it’s the last time to get down that low.
of course it wasn’t clean for long LOL – I got Hertfordshire back out and cutting pieces for the next round – maybe 78 today and by Saturday night down to 30! and Sunday 28! here we go again with the tarps and sheets to cover plant I think on Saturday late in the day
I love to clean my space after a creative project too. You are making great progress on all your projects. 🙂
thanks – the table is messy again today!
