I don’t think I have ever been in a campground that decorated up so much for Halloween. This one went all out – well that is some people go all out! I was walking past this in the afternoon after we set up camp to get in a stretch and I must say I was very surprised to see it although now I will be looking for some skeletons of my own to use LOL
And this is on the next one in this line of campers. Overall it is just a small group that have decorated – most have not.
Our area that our camper is in is still kind of empty – I’m surprised it hadn’t filled in since we checked in the other day – quite often they do by evening. This really is a large campground that we are in and it is set up in long streets – we have a table and chairs set up in our area and fruit trees by each area. Camper goes on the white gravel area and your car on the black gravel area, the red is for an extra vehicle. Plenty of space for an evening walk but Arizona gets dark so early! They need more street lights for walking but it is nice to not have them as then it isn’t too light in your camper at night when you are trying to sleep.
One of the many fruit trees here – I believe these ones are oranges – but I don’t remember off hand – all of the trees have at least a little fruit turning the right colors. I will pick some lemons and oranges and see if they will ripen on the way home and grab a couple grapefruit – I like the juice but neither of us can eat much grapefruit because – grapefruit can interfere with a lot of medication – for Mike his blood pressure medication and for me my immune-suppressants. So I will just take a little of those to ripen on the way home for a little bit of juice. By time we leave I will probably have a plastic grocery bag with lemons and oranges in them! Then I will just be hoping they ripen! Although I did google it and it says that when the fruit is picked the skins are not the color you expect – they are usually green – and they ripen by time they get to the stores.
Lemons – not limes – just not ripe yet but I did find a few turning yellow and took those already.
I needed to cut into one of my 5 inch charm packages that I brought along and set up in my little kitchen to cut last night I had sewn all of the 2.5 inch squares in the one package that I had of that size.

So nice to sit down and see your post this morning!! Those halloween decorations are quite fun. We don’t usually decorate much for the holidays… esp halloween but I do love all the photoed uses of skeletons and the big hairy spider too! Hope your fruit ripens and is delicious… we have cooler weather coming and will even have our first 32 degree night soon!!!
I hope you enjoy this pack of 4 patch making as much as you did the last pack 🙂 I got my rooster EPP pieces all cut and they are ready for glue basting now… also started quilting on the little coordinating star quilt.. I have renamed it and changed the border from the dog print to one more appropriate… when I get it done it will be a second cover for our feet at night during winter!
Enjoy you trek home! Grapefruit juice fresh sounds yummy! Kathi
I have 25 – 4 patch blocks sewed together now and last night I went back to Daisy Chain to do one – I think if I do one and then switch back to 4 patch and keep going back and forth my fingers will be ok.
Sounds like you are doing well on your quilting I am looking forward to getting back to my quilting frame.
Those skeleton decorations are a hoot! I bet that is fun to see. My mom has a grapefruit tree in her yard, and they are delicious! Her fruit has spoiled me for ever buying any in the store, so I only eat grapefruit if I’m at her house. That new charm pack you’re working with now looks like really pretty colors and prints!
I know when I saw those skeletons around the table I thought it was perfect for my deck table – put a couple pumpkins in the middle with candles in them at night! I’m sure Arkansas gets too cold in the winter for those fruit trees but wow I would love to try to grow a lemon tree or orange tree
Skeletons must be hot decorations this year. My brother and I went for a golf cart ride around his neighborhood and saw one house with an army of skeletons, 8 to 10 with sort of capes on, plus a family, two adults, three kids and a dog skeleton which I have never seen before. Ghosts were hanging all over on the pecan trees and there was a pile of bones. If I was a kid I would be too afraid to go down that sidewalk, lol! I love those fruit trees, such pretty pictures. I’m amazed that you have 25 patches done already, you’re so fast! Have fun today.
wow that is all out for halloween – I’m afraid at home I mainly just do up a pumpkin and put a candle in it and maybe do one more for the table – I’m in the country though and no one sees the stuff so I guess I have had the attitude of why bother.
yes the 4 patch blocks are going quickly but I put them away last night and got daisy chain back out – 4 patches get boring after awhile!
Thats a great looking campground, nice and roomy and the help yourself fruit trees are a nice touch.
Yes it is a nice place and not packed this month I guess that starts in January
That is a wonderful looking campground – definitely well thought out and kept up! Always a pleasure to stay in one like that. And those fruit trees look luscious. We are the same here…restricted intake on grapefruit products. Such a pretty floral you are using – I travel with the same portable omnigrid mat too –
Wishing you continued safe journey!
I like this size mat for cutting and pressing it is big enough to press a shirt if needed but lays flat in the shelf not taking up space
We used to stay in South Tucson. Do not recognize this park. Enjoy!
This is a KOA campground kind of southwest part in the edge of the city
