Retro Air Ship Propellers

Well quilting from Wednesday is all there is to blog about today.  And I didn’t do all that much of it!!  I finished this area that I had started Tuesday and then was too tired to sit at the frame and work.  I got it done last Wednesday.

On Thursday I rolled the quilt down in the evening and the end is in sight. That red border at the top is it

Last night I worked in the middle of this area for awhile.  It is nice getting so close.  I had hoped to be done with the mystery quilt by now and have it ready for the frame but I am not certain that will happen.  I do need to replace the last leader again though on my frame so maybe you can never tell.  The last leader I made the mistake of sewing two pieces of fabric together but with the seam in it it is not rolling smoothly so I will take the last leader off when the quilt is done and replace it with another long piece with no seam!!

It was another busy day between running errands for Melanie and being at the hospital with her but thankfully we now know a stone was left behind that was hid by inflammation so there are still two more procedures to do and then hopefully she will be on the road to recovery.

So what will I get done with today?  I really don’t know!  I will bring my crochet with me today I forgot it at home yesterday and could have used it while waiting for two scans for Melanie to go through which took over an hour. Besides that? we will see!  Thanks for all the concern and prayers sent to Melanie through me, she appreciates it and so do I.

Good to know they figured out what was causing Melanie so much trouble. Now for the fix. Hope it all goes well.
It seems to me you just started the Airship Propellers and now you’re almost finished. It looks really good. I bet you have the binding all ready to go, too. Will be curious to see how you quilt Good Fortune.

no I don’t have the binding ready although I had some fabric put aside for it the the red/white that I have in the quilt – now to find it again!

Good to hear they have discovered what is going on with Melanie; I hope this is the last procedure she has to go through for awhile. You’ve really not had much time to sit and quilt, with all the other needful things going on. Love that retro propeller quilt!

today is one procedure then a final procedure next week we don’t know the day yet. It has been a rather busy time for sure

Hope you’re finding that a little time spent quilting when you’re home in the evening is relaxing and calming after the hours spent at the hospital. I know I would need that. I love the red narrow borders in Airship Propellers and have been enjoying seeing the different blocks close up as you’ve quilted along!

I brought my bag this time! done with this procedure but staying in the hospital today will decide tomorrow and get appointment for the next thing. – it has been a long process too long!
Yes quilting in the evening helps me to relax

I’m so glad they found the stone and are going to fix it. Will she have to stay in the hospital until next week when she has the final procedure? I hope that soon all this will be done and both of you will be back to normal again. Boy, it must feel good to see the end of your quilt! It’s too bad you forgot your crochet while waiting for Melanie, it seems so much longer waiting without something to do. Hope today goes good for both of you.

Getting a lot of crochet done – how about you.

thank you Belarmina she is still in the hospital but think this is almost over, she might go home tomorrow for a couple days then needs to go to another hospital further away for one more procedure out patient and then be on the road to a recovery
