Tucson

We have been in Tucson AZ for 3 days and have moved on.  I thought I better get some post written and scheduled so I can keep track of my photos – I do not think the next place will have a good signal for blogging – could be wrong – but I am doubtful.

First here is our campground – it is on the edge of Tucson – a KOA – a very large KOA and it wasn’t packed at this time of year too hot so we had a large space with no crowding.  We have a site under the solar panels which gives you shade – it might not be as pretty as some but the shade was welcoming.

In the twilight

In the morning after some people left you could see how many open spots there are – and that is just one row of about 8 rows of sites – if you walk all the way around the campground it is about a mile or more.

And another one

One of the many fruit trees – and yes I have a large tote bag full of unripen fruit just like last year and if all goes as it did last year they will all be ripe within a week or two after we arrive home – some are already changing colors since I picked them.

Just some of it LOL – I got a few more pieces on my way back from the showers last night (did I mention to add to all the other mishaps on this trip our hot water heater quit working last week!)

We visited a flea market which was very large and I will schedule a post on that next!  One more hexie started.

The first plant is a Texas Ranger and the second is called Mexican Bird of Paradise. Yay for limes! Your new hexie is pretty!

Great picture of the Tucson sky at twilight! I love those Mexican Bird of Paradise bushes – there are lots of them in the community my mom lives in. Looks like you are enjoying the trip in spite of the heat – we got snow overnight! ;(

I love the pictures of the plants, especially the Mexican Bird of Paradise. I just bought one for my yard, I think they are so beautiful. The fruit looks so yummy and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it when you get back home. Citrus trees are suppose to do good here, so I hope to get some too. I like the hexie diamond with the little flowers, so cute! Your crochet is looking good too. Are you going to explore in New Mexico? Enjoy wherever you go and safe travels.

I see Michelle called it Texas Ranger but we just call it Texas Sage. Not sure if it’s related to the sage herb plant but they are tough and can take the harsh conditions.
