More Binding Done

I had an eye appointment yesterday morning and my eyes were dilated so I didn’t get around to sewing until afternoon when I could see better – and now almost 2 sides are done on the Crossroads binding.  I think this binding color was the perfect choice! So glad I opted for this one and most of you did too.

The little scrappy flannel hexie topper was rolled down once again and the end is now in sight – so quickly!!

For several days now our weather has been very nice and I took walks at the trails instead of going to the fitness center – it is so nice walking outside at this time of year when it is hovering around 62 – now rain is moving in and I will be back to the fitness center for walking and biking so I’m glad I got to the trails for two days. Hope you got a good report at the eye doctor Karen… I love how the binding looks on your quilt… and I love that you can see the top of the table runner on your frame!!! Exciting stuff 🙂
Enjoy being out of doors this is said to be a worse winter than usual and last as long as usual I read on the internet … so it must be true! lol Really I have researched it more than that and they are forecasting a cold winter for the south east this year… so since we had the early cold snap… who knows! lol Your Sulky thread ad looks yummy! Thanks for sharing it 🙂 Kathi

That binding choice was definitely the perfect one! Love the corner photo you shared. It is frustrating to have your eyes dilated all day, when the eye doc only needs to look at them for 10 minutes! I always wish they had dome drops to put in that would un-dilate them. Beautiful pictures from your walk, too! We had two beautiful days, Monday and Tuesday, but snow came in last night. We’ve been having something like that every week lately!

I know so many who hate doing the binding. I always have loved it, because it makes the quilt look so nice to have that tiny frame around the outer edge. Beautiful!

    Yay for nice weather days!

Your walking trail looks beautiful, no wonder you enjoy spending time walking in such a lovely place.

Lovely place to walk. Much nicer than the gym!

I love this quilt and trying to write up the pattern. What do you write in your little notebook? Your trails are lovely.

The binding looks great! And yeah for having the finish line in site on the hexies. We’ve had several nice days here, but I think it gets cold today or tomorrow and we’ll have yucky weather for Thanksgiving.

Hi Karen, I’m sorry to be so behind on my comment. I went and got caught up on your Crossroads quilt – it looks great! and your flannel hexies. I’ve only quilted a little bit with flannels but isn’t it too thick for hexies? It would be a great way to use up scraps, as you said from shirts and stuff.
