88 degrees in early April

Need I say more – I didn’t work on any quilting until last night – I was on the porch, took a walk in the morning and then I was spray washing part of the deck area by the swing area we have – it is stone pavers over there – we took the swing down so I could spray clean it and found a lot of rot in it so it is tossed and we are ordering a new one.

Before it got hot I crocheted a little and I decided this was it for rows and now to put about an inch or two of a border around it – what stitches to be decided.  I am linking to My Quilt Infatuation — Creative Compulsions —

rolled the quilt down and started on the blue star last night

I decided I will cut a couple strips of the fabric I showed yesterday to put on the wall to test out with the Christmas quilt I will be able to tell what I like that way.  Finally after four days of trying I got a time slot for pick up order for groceries at Wal-Mart!! Between the local small store, Wal-Mart and Amazon I should be able to stay stocked up (I hope) with just going to do a pick up at Wal-Mart and not stepping in a store.  Back in the 60’s for the next week now and 40’s at night – what crazy weather!!

I love that you enjoyed being outdoors yesterday! Crochet afghan looking GREAT! You are making great progress on your RSC19… glad you loaded that right up 🙂
Congrats on a pick up time from Walmart… we don’t have prime so Amazon won’t sell us some things right now which isn’t nice but fair too in other ways I guess.
Enjoy making a fabric choice for the Christmas quilt! I love that quilt top 🙂

That is a beautiful afghan! Love the colors. Outside time is important. I think I might get the power washer out today to clear off some concrete before heading into the sewing room. Hope the new swing arrives soon.

Yes, congrats on the time slot. I’ve tried a few times here, and there is a 2-3 week wait, so that’s a no go. So far, we are well stocked, and what I wanted can wait. 88 degrees – wow!

Your quilting is moving right along, if you’re already rolling the quilt! I love that afghan, too – so bright and colorful. We’ve had great weather for being outside, too, but expecting snow for Easter! I’m ready to be done with snow, although wouldn’t mind rain. Glad you’re able to get stocked up!

We were close to 80 for 2 days in northern IL and that was nice for yard work. Today is cold and windy. Your crochet blanket is really pretty, love the color combination.

I was doing some hand quilting last night and thinking about you. That 88 temp is much too high…but you had a very productive day!

Very hot here in the uk too! I’ve just completed the last border on my blanket and just have to sew in the ends then it’s a finish! What row did you stop on in the end? Beautiful quilting as ever. Take care.

Yay for warm days! We had an 80 degree day last week, but since then it’s been cooler and intermittently cloudy.

The Dahlia blanket is so pretty! I finished my shawl, so now, I’ll getting back to the Dahlia afghan.

I had to do the Celsius/Fahrenheit conversion – that is warm. I’m enjoy the autumn temperatures. It sounds like you had a busy day. I love your afghan, such pretty colours. I hear here that the wait times for on-line grocery shopping are crazy long too.

The weather is crazy but fun crazy. We got out for a nice walk today before the wind kicked up. You are rolling right along with the RSC!

Yeah we broke a record here at DFW 95-97 depending on what side of town you where on! But today seems more normal only 75 right now. Looks like some showers so glad we are not slotted for severe spring weather like south the cities. Your star quilt reminds me of a star quilt I made for my granddaughter a few years ago, although I used wonky stars.

We broke a record yesterday, today is more like normal. Love your star quilt reminds me of a RSC quilt I made for my granddaughter a few years ago, but it had wonky stars. Your afgan looks like a good size. I enjoyed working out in the yard today so nice to enjoy nature again.
