Oh it was so chilly yesterday – really one just doesn’t expect it to stay in the 40’s on May 12! our high was about 47 and it was a cold rain to go with it – go ahead and laugh at me you northers’ that are used to cold temps – I used to be used to it too but I’ve lived in the south now for 40 years – I’m not used to it anymore – starting today it’s back in the 80’s!!
I just finished a very good book today that I got from Amazon Kindle Unlimited – which means it is a free loan for those have Unlimited though this service – it is for purchase also or maybe your library has it – I really enjoyed it and it kept me so interested I finished it in a brief two days. It is call In An Instant by Suzanne Redfearn I have never read a book by her and will be getting more – she has more books available – the link will take you to Amazon where you can read about it – I found another of hers just now on unlimited and downloaded to my kindle to start that one soon – I hope to enjoy this one too I think she had four books? something like that. Nothing gross or violent or too sexual – a story of two families plus a few other people in a car accident in a winter storm off the side of a cliff and how they survive until they are found and the aftermath of recovery – it really kept me interested.
After I finished my book I got a little bit of the strips sewn for the Signature quilt – I need to make my bottom signature blocks so I won’t sew the borders on until I get that done – today I will get the right side strips done
I did crochet a little more and this will grow so much faster than the knitting. I find I barely need to concentrate on crochet and do not have to watch what I am doing all the time – knitting now that is another story!
About 4 dozen oatmeal chocolate chip cookies were made – I like to tell myself this is a health food – full of old fashioned oats and dark chocolate which we all know are super foods – we will just forget about the butter and sugar.
I had to spritz out the blue lines on the end of the quilt on Monday night and let it dry and redraw the lines yesterday. I had messed them up too much. So instead I started on part of the star and then purple block and got the quilting done on that one and over into the gray – I was going to try to reach the whole border but it is too much of an arm stretch so I will need to roll down one more time. So this is where I started last night
Done Monday night
I had intended to start organizing my shelves above the table but I didn’t get around to it – maybe today? Linking to Wednesday Wait Loss — Quilt Fabrication —

I can’t believe you are almost at the top of the quilt for quilting! That went fast. Those cookies look yummy – I agree with oats they are ‘healthy’! Enjoy the warmer weather.
Not laughing at you – 40 and wet is not fun here either, especially at this time of year when we expect much warmer temps. I get cold to the bone in that type of weather! I like your crochet project; the different stitches with the pretty colors. Superfood cookies! Yum!
That book does sound good – I’ll have to look for it. I love books that you can’t put down! Your new crochet project is really pretty! Is the yarn self-striping? Yummy cookies, too! I’m in the mood for banana bread again – going to make some today. Hope your 80s come back. We have been chilly here, too.
That blanket will be gorgeous! Love the colors in the yarn. Do you think you will be able to keep this one? LOL
Those dark chocolate oatmeal cookies look super yummy! With 4 dozen you will be healthy snacking for a while too 🙂
I love that signature quilt… different views you show each day and your afghan or shawl is coming right along!
Your RSC will be ready for binding and a new quilt on the frame by next week if not sooner!
Have a wonderful day.. we are overcast and cool with no sunshine in our forecast until next Tuesday!

Your hand quilting is so lovely, it makes me want to join in!
The last quilt shown has cursive writing print. Do you know who made it? I would like to find some like it. And, your cookies look great too. Thanks.
40s in May in Arkansas is pretty weird! Glad you’ll see the 80s today. I love how your new crochet project is looking. So pretty! I stopped at the halfway point on my Dahlia Afghan. I just couldn’t face juggling those different yarns any further. So it will be a rectangle of about 42×55. I know it’s a weird size, but I’m sure Project Linus will figure a way to use it. I think it will be great for a toddler.
The weather is crazy isn’t it? Some days in the 80s and 90s here in Kansas, then the drops into the 40s in between. It’s making me crabby LOL
You did a lot in the last week!
I am trying SO hard to not bake goodies these days and you’re making it hard! Oatmeal cookies are my favorites but leave out the chocolate chips please.
Looking good – especially those cookies!
Thanks for the book recommendation. I’ve added it to my Audible wish list.
Wow you quilt fast! It’s going to be a lovely quilt. Really like the Signature quilt too. And those cookies! Now you’ve got me thinking about them. Good thing they are filled with nutrition Thanks for linking to Wednesday Wait Loss. Be sure to link up tomorrow!
