Finally I got back to work on Country Charmer – I had not done my April blue blocks so I got those made first and I will work on the May green blocks today. I don’t even remember now what order they were made – was orange in January or was that February – does it really matter – no not really they are done! These are all that are finished – a lot of green and blue for early in the year – the first blue were aqua, the green I think I was supposed to do light green the first time and I did one dark and one lighter so I will do the same this time and still have two of each.
I didn’t think to take a photo of RSC 19 – Stars before I rolled this side down but the black block I finished and rolled it down – linking to Tish’s Adventures in Wonderland —
And I started on the purple star on Thursday night and continued on it Friday night
More knitting on the two sleeves was done – it is growing. One sleeve is kind of hid behind the front sleeve
On my evening walk I could really smell flowers and I thought it was honeysuckle but it is a little early for a strong honey suckle fragrance and I started to look and saw a blossomed tree that I had not seen before! There was some honeysuckle around it but I smelled the lowest branches and it was the tree I was smelling – It is Chinese Privet – I should have remembered it from last year as it is a large enough tree to have been here for awhile but I didn’t remember it.
I actually have been starting to miss shopping LOL and I did some on line ordering – I did finally get my Connecting Threads order and forgot to take photos and Fat Quarter Shop also. The felt bag was from Green Fairy – and I decided to do a sour dough starter and even though you can of course do this is a plain jar or whatever I order a crock for it from King Arthur – and you can see I have a hummingbird feeder to fill too found that in the workshop that Mike has been cleaning up.
Bluprint Shop is now open – 50% off use code provided on the store page
Green Fairy Fat Quarter Bundles are in stock and on sale

I love the smells of spring, especially apple trees. Our lilacs are really budding and should bloom soon, but they are covered with snow this morning. 🙁 Hope it doesn’t do any damage and that it melts today.
I have been tempted many times to order that sourdough crock. I love kitchen tools, etc. almost as much as I love quilting fabric and supplies! Those stars are so pretty, and I’ll bet the aroma of the flowering things in your yard is wonderful.
It will be fun to watch your progress on your other Country Charmer.
I always have to come see your Country Charmer blocks, there is just something wonderful about them. Our plums are just starting to open, I better walk down there today and take a deep breath;)
Your Country Charmer stars look so pretty together! Great idea to make a dark and a light version of each. My two current RSC projects don’t need any dark greens either – I already made them in the earlier month, too. I’m hoping it will give me time to finish another quilt, but that depends on whether or not I get distracted by other projects, lol! Fun to get happy mail – that crock looks perfect for a sourdough starter, and to decorate your countertop.
Lots of wonderful colours in your blog today! I should do the RSC too..heaven knows I have lots of scraps.
Your sweater will soon be done, lovely flowers too.
It seems like you have only been quilting RSC for a couple of weeks and you are almost done!
The Country Charmer blocks are so pretty! I love the smell of honeysuckle, so the tree must smell wonderful. Here, we are smelling the jasmine. Its scent is also along the lines of honeysuckle. Really nice.
I love your progress on quilting… I am making fine progress on piecing a table runner 🙂 lol! I love it when I find a new tree on our property but for you to and by smell first… that is nice you were enjoying a nice walk over near that tree too !!! I love your jar for your sourdough starter… it is very nice! I don’t know much about knitting but it looks nice and I love the color of yarn for you to wear when it is all made. Trying to figure out a rag stuffed animal pattern today… tough to understand a sewing pattern versus quilting patterns. Kathi
Karen your RSC2020 blocks are very pretty. They will make a lovely quilt when you have them all done.
I am new to your blog. What does RSC stand for?
