One of Those Rainy Days

For some reason I feel like I didn’t accomplish anything other than laying around reading but when I looked at my phone to see what photos I had taken I see I had done a little bit besides laundry.  It rained in the morning yesterday and then looked like it would all day and didn’t.

I got a couple more rows stitched on Drunkard’s Path

And a little more on Country Charmer – I really am going slower on this one right now – lucky to finish up one block area right now in an evening

The ground wasn’t too wet after the rain yesterday so I walked over to the apple tree which is a ways from the house to see how it was going – still have a lot of apples on it although about half have fallen off since they first formed which I’m sure is normal.  Some spots here and there on them but no mold like last couple of years – I read that if that happens again to put peroxide in a spray bottle and spray the apples and tree down as much as you can in the areas of the apples.  I don’t know if it works but will give it a try if that happens this year.

Dear Karen, yesterday was different . Everything we wanted to get too, did not happen, other stuff did happen. Your projects looks great. The apples are coming along sweetly.

Some days are just like that, aren’t they? Still, you did get some sewing in. Your garden is looking lovely. We will be planting flowers later this afternoon.

I hope you successfully get some apples this year! Our apple tree is full of blossoms right now, but I know from experience that most of them will fall off, unfortunately. I always hope to get some that we can eat or bake with. The DP blocks look so pretty together! I love the design that forms where four blocks come together.

Drunkards Path is now on my list of quilts to make. I love yours! Sounds like things with your Apple tree are going pretty well! What time of year do the apples become fully mature? Do you have to wait until Fall?

Well, I got a lot done for myself today but much of that involved messing up my longarm more than it already was! I would have been better off if I hadn’t gotten anything done!
