Yesterday was a nice day outside and knowing that we have a week of on and off rain coming up we spent most of the day outside although I did go get a good haircut in the morning. Then it was outside cleaning up around the fenced in garden area of all the accumulated things used in construction so grass could get cut. While I was out getting my hair cut I stopped and picked up a couple more tomato plants to replace the ones ruined by too much rain – of course now in two weeks I might have to do that again if these get washed out from too much rain and turn brown.
Almost done with this curved stem of leaves on Love Letters working on the big one on the tip and planned on finishing it last night as I was catching up on some shows in the living room. A lot left to go but moving ok right now.
couple more long rows stitched and they will make the 3rd of the vertical rows for the Drunkard’s Path – ready to work on today. Linking to Patchwork and Quilting — So Scrappy —
And just a little more done on Country Charmer – just didn’t do a lot of it on Thursday night

Connecting Threads has a lot of wide back fabrics if you are in need – I find they are not as slow in shipping as they had been last year.
We Crochet is having a sale on some of their yarn & books. (We Crochet is basically the same store as Knit Pics(on my side bar) just more aimed at crochet than knitting.)

Dear Karen,
Love Letters is looking amazing and it is going very fast. Haircut? We still cannot do that. Hubby asked me to cut his hair three times since 2020. Mine have not seen the hairdresser since Feb of last year. It is something we will be able to do after we all get vaccinated, not before. Seeing everyone with their lockdown hair is quite interesting, lol. Hopefully your tomato plants will grow well.
It’s always nice to have a day where you have some inside time and some outside time! We finally got to the garden center and bought some plants, and hoping to get them planted today. I think your DP project is just going to get better and better as you sew the blocks and rows together!
Our weather is finally at a point now where it’s making us want to be outside. Next week we will go get plants and do some planting. Today there’s a little rain in the forecast, so we’ll see. Right now, the sun is shining and it’s quite lovely outdoors. Love those DP blocks!
Hope your tomatoes will survive this time, the weather is just complicated these last days here too. Pretty WIP, and Drunkard’s Path is coming along nicely.
Thank you for linking up today 😉
You have way too much rain and we can’t get enough. It’s always that way isn’t it as the weather patterns seem to get stuck in certain areas.
Drunkard’s Path is coming along well, Have fun playing with these blocks today. It is always a pleasure seeing your quilting in progress. I am amazed that you take care of the garden and still have time to do so many beautiful quilting works. You rock, Karen!
I’m so in love with the circle quilt!
Been outside a lot here too, Karen! I love seeing your circles of Drunkards path blocks coming together and your quilting is divine… Your applique looks great and I bet your yard is just spectacular 😀 Glad I sat down at my computer today to read your blog instead of my phone! lol Have a good Saturday night my friend… Kathi
Drunkards path is looking good! It’s so nice when you can get a good haircut isn’t it?
I’ve been outside all day today – thank goodness it cooled off and the humidity took a break. Love those drunkard paths… I might iron my batiks and play with mine tomorrow….if I get all my tasks done.
Are you tucking the leaves under the vines or just next to them?
The red Love Letters block is looking really good. Such pretty fabric selections. Love the Drunkard’s Path. I hope you don’t lose any more tomatoes. So frustrating when the weather won’t cooperate.
Congrats on making some progress in RED for the RSC!!
