I got busy working on the Drunkard’s Path yesterday – sewing long seams is a necessary evil lol
But I got done and the design wall is now empty and ready for me to work on the RSC star quilt – as you know I had planned to add side borders but after measuring it I decided that wasn’t necessary it is 97 x 109 – it will fit the bed – I’m linking to the Midweek Makers with this one.
I tried it to make sure!
This much fabric left over to use for another project – the bottom pieces are fat quarters and the rest as you can see smaller portions. I’m not sure if I will cut them and use them up right away or if I will put the pieces in the color appropriate boxes.
This much quilting on the Pineapple Blocks on Sunday night. Linking to To Do Tuesday —
The bees are busy doing their thing
Have any of you watched a movie on Netflix called “The Dig” – very good! Ralph Fiennes is in it – he can’t be in anything bad right! It was a very good moving story – I don’t know if they had all the facts right but it is based on something that happened in 1939 England – I give it a thumbs up for sure.

I think the Drunkard’s Path looks great laid out on the bed. I think the size is good too.
I saw that film on Netflix too. Ralph Fiennes is a wonderful actor. I think the film was loosely based on real events.
I love batiks, so your Drunkard’s Path really speaks to me. Looks great on the bed!
We saw The Dig and really enjoyed it. There are so many fascinating, ancient ruins in England. Would love to travel there one of these days.
Great progress in just getting the DP all pieced and off the wall!
DP is beautiful! Congratulations on getting the quilt top completed. You are so good at making those big bed-sized quilts! We watched that movie, too, and thought it was really interesting! I remember that we spent the whole time we were watching it looking up the real people that were involved.
What a big beautiful quilt! Do you make a seam all around before you sandwich?
I love getting something off the design wall to get another project up there – it’s a good feeling.
Thanks for the movie suggestion.
Oh my goodness, your Drunkards Path is absolutely gorgeous. It will be so beautiful quilted. Saw the movie The Dig, so good, would love to travel to England….another bucket list item.
Both of your projects are so pretty and colorful! That pineapple quilt is going to be just gorgeous!
DP looks great on your bed! I can’t believe how quickly you finished that top. You are buzzing right along this year. We watched The Dig and, like some of the others, found ourselves looking up the history. I watched a few other videos related to the items they discovered, and now I can’t recall the names. If they come to mind, I’ll send them to you. It was very interesting.
I love this explosion of colour! I will look out for the Dig thanks for the recommendation
Love the Drunkards Path, wll those gorgeous colours!
PS. The Dig, about the discovery at Sutton Hoo! We have visited there on our trip to England after reading all about it, so interesting and amazing. Sadly, we went on a Monday, when many places of interest are closed, not that we realized that at the time,.
The DP quilt looks fantastic and is perfect for your bed. I love all of those bright and happy colours.
DP looks beautifully on your bed.. Thanks for the movie suggestion, I will look for it on Netflix.
Your Drunkard’s Path is absolutely fabulous! The pineapple quilting is looking so good. I’ll need to check out “The Dig.”
Your drunkard’s path is pretty amazing. In fact, both your quilts are great. Thanks for sharing photos.
I really like that drunkard’s path top just the way it is. It’ll be great once all finished.
Oh gosh, the DP is beautiful! When I get a couple of other things done I want to start some sort of scrappy block quilt.
Wonderful progress being made on all your projects! Good luck with your goals, and thanks for linking up with To-Do Tuesday!
Pretty with all the color bouncing around!
