First off block #15 of the Rose Garden is done – half of the blocks now finished – the center will be six across 5 rows down.
Linking to Patchwork and Quilting —
A little applique was done as well and Love Letters is progress – Left side done and started on the lower right side.
Now that block #15 is done on Rose Garden I will take a short break for the next week or two and make a fall table runner. I got a pattern from Lynn at Sewn’ Wild Oaks for a pumpkin runner. Lynn is the quilter/designer that designed the pattern I made Country Charmer that I made twice – once in rainbow colors and once in Christmas colors – she so kindly enclosed a packet of note cards in the package as she said she got quite a few orders from people for the Country Charmer after I kept blogging about it. Imagine my smile when I saw the photos were of my version of Country Charmer!
Here is the pumpkin pattern I got – my photo turned out quite dark so I copied the photo from her shop to share.
I’m already going through my stock of orange – more in the basket yet and some green.
I have a background cut out and I decided to save some time and change my border from the ripple pieced border that Lynn has. I have a fall panel that I didn’t really care for that had a bunch of turkeys on it LOL – I don’t know where I got it – I think it was a freebie from something I ordered at one time but it had such a pretty striped design in rows – so I cut those out of the panel and will use those for the borders – it will make it a longer lasting fall seasonal table topper to go through Thanksgiving. Here is one border laying on the table – I think it will go with it really well.
I don’t know if I will try machine applique or get myself going fast and get it applique needle turn which I am so much more familiar with.

Hooray for another Rose Garden block completed! You’re getting there! Love the notecards – what a great idea and so nice that she did that for you. The tablerunner pattern is cute! It looks like your border idea will work nicely. About this time of year, it’s always fun to have a fall project to work on.
Halfway! Congrats. Love the new runner and how neat that you have notecards of your quilt.
SEW sweet of Lynn to send note cards of your very own quilt, Karen! What a nice surprise that must have been.
That little pumpkin quilt will be a cute one when finished. Halfway on Rose Garden – yay! The applique block is a beauty! What fun to have notecards with your quilt on the front; a neat idea.
Great fall table runner. Now is the time to make it too. Your borders will look great. You will have your appliqué block done soon in plenty of time for the end of the month.

Seeing the Rose Garden blocks altogether is just stunning! How cool that your blog increased Lynn’s orders for Country Charmer. It’s such a beautiful quilt. And the notecards she sent featuring your quilt are so awesome. Cool idea to substitute that pretty border on the pumpkin runner.
Love your fabrics and the border for the pumpkin runner. I love Sewn Wild Oaks and got the pattern you made for Christmas but have yet to make it. So nice to see your own quilt on cards. What a nice touch! Keep up the inspiring work.
Love Letters is looking good. Those blocks are so pretty, it’s a lot of piecing but it certainly is worth it. Enjoy your new project, it looks like fun too.
