The rest of my sale fabric arrived – more colors that read solid to mix in with all the other stuff! Or maybe use all on it’s own in an RSC quilt next year – I think the only color missing is yellow! hey what’s with that? I guess maybe because the metallic type design in it is a shade of yellow it wouldn’t show up?
And from the side so you can see all the colors
Spent part of the morning decorating for fall – while I was doing some of this Mike had run to Lowe’s for some things and I texted him to see what they had in fall flowers for the porch and showed him what I was doing and he came home with three large pots. I found the fake pumpkins and the big sunflower at Hobby Lobby over the weekend with Melanie – it has a stake on it so it can go in the garden later if I want (next year for summer!)
And the Pineapple Quilt – once again I neglected the piecing at the machine – I put in volunteer hours at the library instead in the afternoon – I hadn’t volunteered in 18+ months – but I masked up and sat in Melanie’s corner of the library away from people and helped get a ton of packets of library information ready for the local schools in the area – a drive is going on to get more library card holders. I’ll have to get busy and get going on the September RSC quilts – it really only will take a busy session to get the star blocks done and then work on prepping the applique next week – linking to Patchwork and Quilts — I didn’t do any of the work on the color orange today so nothing to link up on that.

The sales are all still going on and there always are some! just click on the links of the side bar to go to the stores you want – I know the Knit Picks/We Crochet sales are still going on – Green Fairy has 40-50% off on Charm Packs, and AccuQuilt always has a sale of some sort going on.

Yes, it’s Library Card Sign Up Month – thanks for helping Melanie out.
Love your fall decor! I am still in summer mode as my impatiens and petunias out front are looking lush and pretty still.
My local quilt shop is celebrating its 14th anniversary this coming week with 14% off everything, so I am holding off shopping for fabric until then. I am so thankful to have a shop in the area. Before they opened, I’d have to drive 45 min. to shop for decent fabric or order from Keepsake by mail. Wow! How things have changed.
Lovely fall decoration, Karen.
Owo you got beautiful fabrics to play. Can’t wait to see the beauties you will make with them. So glad you could do some volunteer work at the library.
Happy weekend.
I love your fall porch design. I got out some of my fall inside decorations, and my sunflower flag, a wooden pumpkin, and door quilt for out on the porch. I would love to go to Hobby Lobby and see what they have but I don’t dare as I would want more and I have plenty! Love your new fabrics too with the gorgeous metallic running through.
I use those ready refill planters in the large urns outside our garage doors and have had really good luck with them. My summer ones are still going strong.
Those are some pretty bundles of fabric! It will be fun to see how you use them. I love your fall display on the porch, too! The sunflower in the pot is really cute – is it made of metal? I haven’t gotten out anything like that yet, thanks for the inspiration! Glad you felt like you could volunteer at the library again, too!
Dear Karen,
Local library is such a large part of all communities across the world. Glad you got to go and volunteer and help Melanie. The p8rch looks very festive.
Beautiful metallic tonals fabrics, I’m looking forward to seeing what you will do with these pretties. Fun Autumn decorations!
Thank you for sharing and linking up today 😉
