Seeing Stars

Finally got to sewing on my final stars for my stars RSC21 quilt – got 2 of of the 5 finished.  First I was cutting background pieces and lining them up on the quilt frame which was being used as a design wall.  Then I stacked them all up and moved them to the sewing table.

Got the blue one done

And the pink one which has a little bit of blue in it too but overall it is pink.

Rolled Drunkard’s Path down on Sunday night and started on this end.  There are nine rows of circles and this one is row 4

The stem and leaves are done on the center stem and work is being done on the big flower for the last block of Love Letters.

No work was done on the garden due to the weather – and today will be very chilly – I don’t know if I can get Mike back to the garden until the weekend – we will see – just that one bed left to work on!

I really like your new stars – those background pieces you’re using are so great! Have you found those in a bundle somewhere? I could use some more of those kind of low volume fabrics. Chilly and damp here, too – even a little snow. Not unusual for November, though.

Your new stars are so pretty! I like the way you framed the fish in the center of the blue one. Great progress on you other projects.

Your new stars look fantastic, Karen. You are also making great progress on the DP. Love the combination of browns on that applique, too!

Blue and pink stars are beautiful, Karen, great addition to a gorgeous quilt.
Also great progress on the other 2 projects.
Hope your husband feels better soon.
    Stay warm and happy stitching.

Two stars down and three to go, it was a great idea to get them all cut out at the same time. Now you can stitch another one or two as you feel like it, and before you know it, job done!

    Dear Karen,
The stars look amazing, wow four rows done of the circles. It is chilly and sunny up north, finished the last of the garden chores here. Yesterday afternoon the snow flakes came for a short while, so winter here is coming soon. Now time to get indoors and sew, something which was placed on the back burner for a while.

Love the new stars. I’ve become quite enamored with that acid green lately.
