Thanks for all the replies on the cookies yesterday – it was interesting to hear what you all do for your holiday in the line of baking.
A little more work was done on the Love Letters quilt – just couldn’t get into sewing machine work yesterday I will try to do more progress today. The 3rd row is sewn together now the long sashing needs to be added and pinned down. The quilting frame comes in so handy for a work surface!
I did have to fold it up though and put it aside for today so I could quilt last night, the sashing strips are sewed together and I need to press it first and cut to the right size.
The Drunkard’s Path was rolled down and work started again – I will roll this down one last time to finish – it is just a little too much of a reach to get it all on this time across.
I started on this end on Monday night after I had finished the last little bit shown the day before.
Today on one of the weather things I follow on facebook had this imagine map for Christmas Day – I’m near Russellville – yup high of 76 maybe – I think a walk at the trails might be in order on Christmas day or lounging on the porch LOL I bet the next week it will be 28 degrees – that is the way it goes here!! Last night on the news they were saying weather records were going to be broken for Christmas Day – and the best is no rain for the holiday! so even though it will be warm we will not get severe storms.

The end is definitely in site on drunkards path! 76 degrees is crazy weather. It’s getting chilly here and the weather gurus are predicting snow in the UK, not in the south of England however!
Wow – 76 degrees! I’m sure you’ll get a walk in, with nice temps like that. You are making such great progress on your quilts!
I bet it’s a good feeling to make a bit of progress on the sashing for Love Letters! That’s never my favorite step of quilt construction, but you’re getting closer to a finished top. I looked at your ginger cookie recipe last night – I might have to try that one! They sound delicious. Crazy, warm weather you’re having! We’re having it, too, but high winds come along with it. I was walking with a friend at one of our trail areas yesterday, and we had to take a shorter route because the wind was so bad.
Your quilting on Drunkard’s Path is gorgeous. For some reason you make it look really relaxing.
Love Letters is gorgeous. Yes, the quilt frame is a great place to lay it out. Wow on the warm weather. It’s in the low 40’s here in Ohio. Our son is still hoping for a white Christmas. The Saturday forecast looks like 70% rain with a high of 54. Might be a brown Christmas… Oh well.
Quilts are looking great! Looks like an unusual Christmas for the temps this year. All our cookies are gone (except the crinkle cookies that I kinda hid in 2 cookie tins). Time to restock….
I will miss seeing the Drunkards Path, but I know whatever goes on next will be just as beautiful. Our forecast for Christmas Day is 69 degrees. Hello climate change!
