I forgot to show one of the new dies that I got a week or so ago – and I really need to find time to do a fast couple of placemats or something with it for the holiday – after all that is what it is for – a cute little gnome! It would look good on the edge of a placemat I think – it is from the six inch die and it is about 2.5 by 6 inches when finished. I need to make myself do a machine stitch around it and machine quilt it so I can get done. I will be happy if I can finish two before Xmas LOL – but would like to get more than that made – maybe a table runner as well.
Yesterday was warmer than the day before so I was busy with laundry, grocery shopping, and in and out. No sewing machine work – next week though rain off and on and back to the 50’s – surely I can get some sewing machine work done.
My fabric for the sashing and border of Love Letters is finally on it ‘s way – maybe early next week? It will be nice to get that quilt top put together. I have some die strip cutters so maybe that will help make short work of straight strips.
A little quilting on The Drunkard’s Path and that is about all the progress I made yesterday – hopefully today will be better. Wednesday’s quilting. Linking to Alycia Quilts, Finished or Not Friday — Wendy’s Peacock Party —
I planned to finish this side last night and then roll it down finishing this row.

Looking forward to seeing what you create with the Gnome! Soon the weather will be cooler and stay cooler so you will have lots of sewing time I am sure.
That gnome is cute, and it sounds great to use it for decorating placemats or a tablerunner! To get the shapes in different colors, do you lay a different color fabric over each shape before you run it through the cutter? I’ve never actually seen how the Accuquilts work. Glad your fabric for Love Letters is finally on its way!
What a pretty Drunkard’s Path. I love how you’re quilting it.
Cute little gnome – it will be fun to see what you do with him! Love all the colors in your DP quilt!
Oh, that gnome is so cute! I love gnomes. And they are so versatile, being easy to use for any holiday.
The gnome is sooo cute!
I would like to know the answer to Diann’s question too! I think “Santa” is thinking
about a Accuquilt cutter! He asked me how they worked. I didn’t explain very well! I borrowed one from a friend once, to cut 2.5” squares. But otherwise have never used one.
Judy – I tried sending a email to your email address like I usually do but it kept getting kicked back so answering your question here: For the gnome you cut pieces to fit over the applique area of each piece and run it through the cutter – you can layer six pieces of fabric – I will look and see if I can find tutorial I’m pretty sure if you go to the accuquilt link on the side bar of my blog it would have a tutorial on the menu of their site – I will look and post a link to it. And tell Mr. Santa if he is going to order one please go through my links so I get the commission LOL they send stuff pretty fast so if he orders soon you should get it for Christmas!
I well see if I can take photos of how you do the gnome for tomorrow’s post – it is 75 degrees here!! I have been in and out running errands tomorrow back to cool
Hello Mr Gnome, you are such a cute fellow!
Can’t wait to see what you do with the gnome! Have fun.
I am still amazed at all the wonderful fabrics you used in drunkard’s path top. Each better than the other.
I wish we lived close together so we could share dies! I’ve been going crazy buying them since they are having some amazingly good sales.
Beautiful quilting
and that little gnome – too cute!
