A Star

So far the Feathered Star is coming together ok, but it is the middle section that gave me fits last time so we will see what happens today.  This is as far as I got yesterday when I put it aside to get supper ready.  – Yes the seam ripper has been to work already!  Linking to Wendy’s Quilts and More —

Quilting up to the border was done on Twinkle, Twinkle Big Star  Wednesday night and got rolled down last  night to get started on the next section.  About two more weeks to go.

I went out to the nature trails for a walk before going to the grocery store and wished I had changed into capri’s – jeans were too hot – it got up to 76 degrees!  A front coming through last night though of course and rain luckily not snow!!  But we are back to March weather today in the 50’s dropping to the 40’s by afternoon.  I have an eye doctor appointment this morning so after that we will see about getting some sewing done.

I have two clumps of crocuses that I planted this year and here they are the second year the clumps are so large – I might need to break them up a little this fall and make four areas instead of the two – they are both this filled in

Another variety of daffodils coming soon – I think since the early ones that blossomed a month ago and now dying off there has been two more varieties open with at least 2 or 3 more varieties to go.

So far, so good on your Feathered Star! Hope the rest of it goes together smoothly. March is an unpredictable month, no matter where we live, I guess! We had snow all morning yesterday, but by the afternoon it was all gone. Your purple and white crocuses are so pretty!

Maybe the seam ripper is an over achiever, lol. Looks like it’s coming together nicely. Yeah for wishing you had n capri’s….soon maybe the jeans can be put away for awhile. Lovely spring flowers on your walk.

    Dear Karen,
Walking outdoors with just a T-shirt on and not layers on. The snow is melting up north, sure sign spring is finally here! Those spring flowers looks gorgeous and such a treat for the eye. Your projects are looking amazing.

Beautiful crocus, mine have all died and I just need to get more planted. Good luck on this star.

Fingers crossed that this feather Star block behaves itself. I hope to add crocuses to the garden next year. I do have daffodils about to open. 😀

Good luck as you approach the center of this star. Hope to sew some RSC myself this weekend. Love seeing the crocuses. I saw a few on the island last week; I’ll be curious to see if anything has sprung in my garden during our absence.

Hope you eye doctor appointment went well. Twinkle, Twinkle Big Star looks amazing!! The crocuses look so pretty. That reminded me, I need to divide my irises too.
