Yesterday I didn’t feel like sitting at the machine – instead I was finishing up an audio book and worked on hexies. I don’t usually sit real long doing this but off and on over the day I got it almost done – late afternoon it was like this

And the flannel blocks are stacked up and labeled for the final 3 rows – I do intend to work on that today at some point. Considering I got 4 rows done on Monday I should be able to get the 3 rows done today.

These larger hexie flowers that you’re making are really pretty! I’m curious to see how they attach to the center section. I picked up a new (to me) book at the library and wondered if you had read it. It’s a James Patterson (with another writer like he always does) called Two Sisters Detective Agency. It’s pretty god – I think it might be the start of a new series,

Love the hexies, we are back into winter weather today. Flannel is perfect for cold days like today. The veggie soup will be taken from the freezer and some hand quilting will be done, it is so true. Some days we just need to get away from our machines and just do some hand work.
Karen, your hexies are looking great! And the quilting on Twinkle, Twinkle is almost done! Looking forward to seeing your applique quilt top going on the frame! And, to following along on the flannel squares becoming a quilt top!
We are having rainy weather today…I guess our April showers are arriving a little ahead of schedule….

Looks like headway on all fronts! I enjoy audio books too, and often listen while knitting. Are you able to do that while sewing? Or maybe not due to the machine noise? It’s fun to see the projects grow.

Your hexi’s are looking fab! Glad you are enjoying your audio book… I have one about the amish I am listening too that is a quilting focus and quite interesting but it is more a drama so probably not your style….

Enjoy your flannel quilt whenever the mood strikes and there are no thunderstorms to affect your sewing… this weather lately is kinda crazy… house here has been open for several days now with glorious weather yet 27 is due to happen Saturday night and other freezing temps around that time of the month after that too! Twinkle Twinkle is coming along nicely, can’t wait to see it done. Progress on the flannel blocks and hexies. It has finally stopped raining, but still hot and humid. I may do some yard work today.
I have to use a fake email account when I visit wordpress blogs, it’s really frustrating. If I use my real account, wordpress wants me to sign in; even though I deleted my account about 10 years ago. I didn’t like using wordpress format; but deleting my account was a major thing and they simply won’t let me comment without signing in or using an email. Argh. The other issue I’m beginning to have with wordpress is it won’t let me paste my url from my current post in the website section. It used to until a few weeks ago, now it brings up all the previous url’s I’ve used, but won’t let me put a new one in…so rather than the link taking you to an old post, I have to click one, then erase the post specific portions so only the general blog url shows up. Wanted to get back to you about why your notes are being returned.
