First of all as stated yesterday my blog crashed after there was an error in an update. We have not changed the blog in a long time so Mike (my web master and spouse of just about 50 years now!) decided to update the look and we are using a new program (to us) in Word Press – we are self-hosted which is a little different than some wordpress blogs. This will be an ongoing process for a couple days possible with changes here and there until we are satisfied. We hope to have all the affiliate links back on the side bar in a couple days.
Noriko’s Star has had some progress – I took a photo of what I have so far – keep in mind all of the “flowers” around the center will be joined with gray hexies so I left space in between to try to get a feel for the size. Here it is on my kitchen floor.
Here is the 10th “flower” in the process of thread basting – linking to Wendy’s Quilts and More today.
Two Arkansas Traveler blocks were made yesterday
Up on the wall with a few empty spaces made for the next two blocks – I hope to get those finished today so I can get the Carpenter’s Wheel green block made before the end of the month with a new color starting soon already! I have no idea what the final layout will be – making 5 quilt tops using the same color scheme I will try to do something different with each – maybe some will end up on point, sashing, borders – not sure yet – I am not in a rush as I have 2 quilt tops waiting in line to be quilted and I will not make so many RSC tops next year! as it is 2 are already put aside to be finished next year.

Your projects are looking so good. Really love the hexies! Aren’t you lucky having a computer whizz for a husband!
Sorry you’ve had “technical difficulties!” Glad to see you’re back today. I love the way Noriko’s Star is looking. What an impressive amount of work!
Those Arkansas Traveler blocks have me fascinated, I’m going to see if they’re in any of my pattern books as I don’t have a Go-cutter. You’ve inspired me!
Thank goodness for your in house tech support, you’re both doing a great job!
*hugs*

🙂
Fewer projects next year? That’s a laugh!
PS: The new blog looks nice.
So nice to see you are back to normal sewing/quilting this week. Good luck with all the blog transitions.
The blog looks great with its new look! So helpful to have a tech savvy husband. Noriko’s Star is really developing – it’s already gorgeous – I’m enjoying watching your progress. Your Arkansas Traveler blocks must go together pretty quickly – nice to have the Accuquilt for fast cutting. They make a pretty design wall! Are you feeling like you’re getting back to normal now? I hope so!
I like the new look of your blog, Karen. Mike is doing a great job on it. All of your projects are looking great, too. Love those Arkansas Traveler blocks!
I like your new blog look. How wonderful that you have live in tech support! 🙂 I’ve been out of town and didn’t read about your SIL until now. I’m sorry for your family’s loss.
Your projects are all coming along nicely and aren’t you BRAVE, switching up blog platforms! I would be terrified that everything would disappear and I wouldn’t be able to get it back again. Your “new version” is looking good so far — kudos to Mike the “webmaster”!
The new blog look is great! (Not that there was anything wrong with the old one.) I’m sorry you had such a monumental blog crash.
Noriko’s Star is just stunning, Karen! Seeing it all laid out is just awesome. I love the Arkansas Traveler blocks, and the new green one is so pretty. Love Letters continues to be eye candy.
I like the new look of the blog and it seems like the font is easier for me to read too. Have a great weekend, I hope you have some sewing, family and gardening time.
Your new blog is so much easier to read and the pics are much clearer. I used to have a lot of difficulty with reading your blog on my iPad. I am going to start to do much more hand quilting. It’s coming up to winter here in Oz which makes hand quilting better in the cooler weather.
Bonjour Karen,
J’ai toujours un grand plaisir à voir tes ouvrages avancer.
Il me semble que ton “Love Letters” est réalisé avec des Batiks. Je me trompe ?
Tu as beaucoup de chance d’avoir un “informaticien” à tes côtés et je suppose qu’il est aussi bon bricoleur.
