I keep saying I need to get my Christmas decorations out and I keep not doing it! Oh well it is early in the month right – maybe today!
In the meantime one more block was made for Rainbow Crossings
One more ready for today
And two more left to do after that as I had one left over from last month that will work out for another brown color. I could really finish these today if I set my mind to it – but then of course I really wouldn’t get around to my Christmas tree!
A little work done on Noriko’s Star – and I do mean a little – but even stitching 3 or 4 is progress – slow progress but progress! Linking to Wendy’s Quilts and More — Confessions of a Fabric Addict – for some reason I didn’t know Sarah was back to blogging so I am connecting to her Whoop Whoop Friday again. I’m glad to see she is back.
Butterflies in Flight from Wednesday night
I got started on the next block but didn’t finish it so started on that one last night

Sometimes it is difficult to drag out all the Christmas stuff, knowing it must be packed up again in a few weeks! I think the variegated thread on the polka dot quilt block is gorgeous!
I’m still in shock that it’s December. I declared 2 weeks ago that I would put the Christmas decorations out the first weekend in December, and that is tomorrow – eeeek! I always look forward to seeing your butterflies quilt.
I haven’t gotten out very much Christmas either – just changing out the tablerunners and that type of thing. The Christmas tree takes the most time – maybe over the weekend. Your hexie project is the very definition of “slow stitching” – so every stitch counts as progress! Pretty reds in your butterflies block that you quilted!
I haven’t pulled my decorations out yet either. We’re not having a tree in the house this year, so I’m not terribly motivated. I’ll get to it sometime next week, maybe.
I haven’t gotten out any of my Christmas decorations yet. It means getting up on a stool to get the box off the top shelf. For me December 1st means getting all of the good intention projects out and actually finishing them.
You are in the home stretch on the Crossed Canoes and LeMoyne Stars and that must feel good.
looks like you are making progress on all quilty fronts. Our tradition is to decorate the weekend after Thanksgiving and thank goodness my husband like to stick to traditions otherwise the Christmas decor might never be put out!
Not much Christmas decorating taking place here either. In the sitting room I’ve got a Christmas quilt on the wall, another folded over the back of the sofa, and a Christmas runner on the coffee table. With us going away next week for some time there didn’t seem much point in getting all the other bits and pieces out. And it saved me climbing up into the loft and getting the crates down the small ladder, always an adventure, I can tell you!
Christmas decorations are a lot of work, so…. I just don’t do it. LOL! (I would if we were going to have company.)
No decorations yet for me…maybe tomorrow but there is a fair to attend and a tablerunner to quilt. I would like to get that done before Wednesday when we are off to Boston for a few days. A little work on everything you do is a good thing. You are always making progress when I look in!
What wonderful things you are working out right now. I really like that first block, even in pink. LOL The hexagons are wonderful, and good for you for the hand quilting. There’s a link for HQAL through Kathy at Living in Rapid City – it’s a post every three weeks, if I remember correctly, and all hand quilting progress. In case you’re interested. =)
Beautiful star block, and lots of quilting progress! I also haven’t got the decorations out yet. Maybe today? I’ll get the grandkids to help. Have a good week.
Your hexie quilt is beautiful. Could you please direct me to the pattern? I have not had luck searching for Noriko’s Star
