Finally I can say the blocks are done for Rainbow Crossings – now to sew those blocks together and the row to the quilt – I do believe I can finish this by December 31st! These blocks really get done quickly and I was cutting the strips with the rotary cutter it was just easier than getting the machine out for each block or moving it out of my way to sew.
Over the last week thread basting a couple hexies here and there for Noriko’s Star I finished them up while the game was on – Arkansas won into 3 overtimes! You can see here where the stitching begins.

I’m watching the Amaryllis grow before my eyes – I swear it has been growing 2 inches a day since the bud started – the other plant is a short way behind it. I’ll let you know if the bud touches the support today with another photo. I will guide it up through the support.

Rainbow Crossings looks great! It’s a good feeling to meet an end of the year goal. Love the butterfly fabric in Butterflies in Flight photo, too. Do you know what color your amaryllis is? It will be fun to see!
The amaryllis is showing off for you! Amazing how fast it’s growing! The quilt top blocks look so pretty. And I love the darker colors among the hexies! It wil make a very pretty “pop” of color. Quilt on, my friend!
Wow! That quilt is beautiful on the wall. The hexagons are looking great. I need to get back to the Brimfield block. I think I have my quilting mojo back after a lag this fall. I’ll head over and check out the Bella Solids. I’ve never used them but think I might give them a try.
Good luck on finishing the Rainbow Crossings top!
I love the whimsy of this border. Such a pretty quilt! The red flower in this next hexie section really pops. Beautiful! It’s so interesting when plants seem to grow right before your eyes.
Everything is coming along beautifully. I am always amazed by how much you accomplish. I love the design of the hexagon quilt and the color scheme.
Glad your Christmas went well and everyone was safe and sound.
Amazing work as always Karen.
Feel free to ignore this if you want to. The top row, canoe block needs to be rotated. The white canoes run one way in the quilt center and opposite in the border. Not sure if this happened on the other sides or not, not sure if it really needs changing either.
Thanks for sharing all you do. I love seeing what you do.
How exciting about your Rainbow Crossings. I hope you do sneak in another finish for this year. I had hoped for another finish but got sidetracked today getting ready for Jenni and the kids coming tomorrow to spend the night. At least I have the flimsy. We watched that exciting game! We are watching the Sooners. They did not do well this year, so we have our fingers crossed they can hold the precarious lead.
Karen Rainbow Crossings me encanta, cómo organizaste todos los colores
¡maravilloso! tu amarilis crece con fuerza
Saludos
