Just not much to share today – I didn’t do much yesterday – mainly went shopping and read a book. I have been caught up in old Harry Bosch books and I do find them good.
When shopping I bought a new plant for the porch – I do hope it won’t die on me quickly like one did last year. It is called a Brazilian Jasmine or also known as a Mandeville. Last year I had gotten one in May and then we had a very chilly night or two and I didn’t bring it inside and it died on me! It says it is tolerant to 30-40 degrees so I was very surprised it died at 50 something degrees.
Other than that I did sew one row of hexies the last row of black but I forgot to take a photo – but here it is from the other but know sewn together – Next I will put these three together and then I will be almost done with this section.
The the previous done sections need to be put together and then it can be joined to the quilt. Linking to Quilting is More Fun than Housework — Kate’s Life in Pieces — and Kathy’s Slow Sunday Stitching.

Your mandeville plant is gorgeous. I hope it lasts for you. I managed to see a few hexies on a butterfly wing, but spent most of my day out and about. Enjoy your Sunday!
Oh I hadn’t thought about reading Harry Bosch books! We love the series. I often see those Mandevillas at our local stores. They sure area pretty. Glad you had a quiet day – we need those sometimes! Those black hexies really look good with the colors.
I had a white Mandevilla last year in a hanging basket and it lasted in bright sunshine all summer.
I have always enjoyed the Harry Bosch books, too – looking forward to the newest one coming out, but I don’t think it’s until November! The new plant is a pretty one – I haven’t heard of those before. I wonder if they’re more suited to your climate. Enjoy your stitching today!
A good book is a nice break from the sewing room. I just haven’t found any that hold my interest. Hope the storms that came through this morning just left rain and no other damage. It got really windy here just after midnight.
Every little row of sweet hexies helps. =) Love that Jasmine of yours. Such a beautiful flower. Does it have a sweet scent like other jasmine flowers?
What a beautiful plant! Dan bought a plant called Night Jasmine. It’s outside on the table under the umbrella. No blooms yet. It’s still pretty small.
