Progress on Toddler Quilt

Yesterday morning first thing I put more tomatoes in the crockpot for the Marinara Sauce – while it was simmering away I was able to sit and sew and got all the blocks done that I had cut out – now today I need to cut more strips and cut the squares with the Accuquilt.  This quilt is about 36 x 36 I think plus the beginning of a new row there on the bottom – I will cut one more strip of each color and go from there to make more.  Some of these blocks might get turned this way or that before rows are sewed.

One more row of hexies were pieced and attached and the next row was started – they are getting longer now so will take a little longer to finish.

I redid 4 jars of the Strawberry-Rhubarb jam as it didn’t appear to be thickening up as it should and 5 jars of the Marinara Sauce.  It is nice that this cooks up in the crockpot as then I have that time that it is simmering to work on other things.

Your garden is producing lots of fruit and veggies this year! I want to make some relish and salsa this summer but will wait until the right veggies are in season . So many hand stitches in your hexie quilt! It’s looking wonderful.

The toddler quilt is looking so cute – I love the fun color! How big did you decide to make it? Glad you’re continuing to get more sauce and jam out of your produce, too. Yum!

You’ve been moving along on the toddler quilt. I love how the greens really pop in with all the other colors. Happy stitching and canning today. It stormed here this morning, hopefully you get the wet without the drama.

I really like that toddler quilt. Your canned stuff looks yummy! We think all our tomatoes are going to come on at the same time – I might be freezing some tomato sauce! Hubs said yesterday how come we can’t find plants that produce at different times? Probably because I plant them all at the same time!

The toddler quilt is coming together! OMG I got excited last night to see three tomatoes on my plants!! They snuck in there as I hadn’t seen them even forming.

Looking good! I’ve used the pens for years and for the first time had a problem. Guess I should have pretested.
We finally got a little break in the weather – hot but not steamy!
