I spent time organizing more in the sewing room on the rainy Sunday that we had. I started out by emptying out the box that held the Hertfordshire Quilt top which by the way I sold the 36 inch piece to a reader – thank you Sandra it is in the mail tomorrow. In the box I had a lot of jelly roll strips that I was using for tiny pieces – with the red pieces that I had set aside for cutting into jelly roll strips I made progress and now have a lot ready to set aside in a box devoted to pre-cut strips. And I put the book back on the shelf – I will look through it another day but somehow I doubt I will make any of the quilts in it now.
Now to fold or roll these up and get them off the frame and into a box
I got out the only two UFO’s that I still have to look over and see if I wish to finish – both I will keep – the center of Love Entwined started in 2013 has not been touched in 10 years – I no longer have fabric put aside for it but I should be able to finish the flowers for the center if I feel like applique – the other I didn’t take a photo of – it is just a few patchwork blocks for Afternoon Delight – maybe I will make maybe I won’t
They are now in labeled project boxes – to get to one day? Only two that are not being worked on is compared to some amounts of UFO’s I have read people are working on.
I labeled the current boxes as well.
While watching the first half of the Superbowl which wasn’t too good LOL – (in my opinion, and the half time show wasn’t too good either, I really even didn’t find the advertisements that great) I did get some work done on Noriko’s Star – so that was good. I have not gotten photos of Hunter’s Star from the last night or two and will get caught up on that today after I get all these strips put away.

I fell asleep during the overtime game-winning touchdown LOL! But in the middle of the Super Bowl Paul was glad to switch to PBS for Miss Scarlet and All Creatures (which I love). So we were both happy.
Good progress on your organization! It makes me feel good to get projects labeled. It was nice you sold something to a reader simply by having a photo of it! 😀 I didn’t think the Super Bowl ads were that great either. I was mildly entertained by Usher, and I definitely prefer him to watching a half-naked JLo or Beyonce shaking their booties – lol! We don’t really “get” why all songs have to be accompanied by wildly gyrating bodies, but then we figured we are old and our opinions don’t matter – haha. I was apparently the only person in our family rooting for San Fran, but I just like their quarterback and I thought it was time for them to win a Super Bowl. Glad I didn’t bet on it. 😉
Glad to hear you sold the Hertfordshire quilt top to someone! I was wondering if you would. It always feels good to get more organized and get rid of unwanted things. Love Entwined is beautiful! I hope you do something with that – even if it stays as a smaller piece.
Good job on the organizing! I’m one of those people with too many UFOs. LOL
That double deep shelf is nice storage for the boxes. I’m down to only a couple older started projects now after finishing 3 in January and one almost done this month.
I have always been told “You don’t know if you don’t ask”. I am thrilled that I asked about your top and you so graciously sold it to me. I look forward to receiving the Happy Mail. This morning I was busy cutting strips for binding a quilt. It feels good to make progress. Good luck with all your organization.
Two UFo projects is excellent! I remember when I had over 20. I actually enjoyed the Super Bowl but I like defensie play. It was much more fun to watch when you don’t care who wins. Lot’s less stress!
That was a day well spent. Love to see your Love Entwined. It’s worth to fin8sh the center piece…
Love Entwined is gorgeous!
Great organizing. It’s great you have only two UFOs in your stash. I’m starting to clean out some things that will go to the guild for our summer Quiltfest show in June. You’ve made good progress on Noriko’s Star while watching the nonsuper bowl! LOL Not a fan of NFL but I do love college football. I’m glad you will finish Love Entwined as it is sew very pretty. Thanks for linking up with Monday Musings!
Organizing seems to be a constant state in my sewing room. You did a great job. Glad you got some work done on Noriko’s Star. I ignored the game, hubby doesn’t watch so I usually don’t unless it is a favorite team.
It’s always good to reassess what’s in the UFO pile. You’ve done well if all you had was three. Hopefully the sewing room and your stash is much more navigable.
I’m impressed you only have 2 ufos. (I will not admit to how many I have but it is way over 2.) Although I will say I’ve been whittling down the number but also starting new… so it’s an unending battle!
