I got two more rows sewed on English Ivy and we got an alert for severe thunderstorms coming so I unplugged the machine and never got back to it – two more rows to do! Linking to Design Wall Monday — Monday Musings —
Went through older quilts a little more and changed the one hanging on the door to this signature quilt that I made in 2019/2020 – the signatures were collected from my blog readers
Quilting on The Carpenter’s Wheel continues most every night – sometimes only 20-30 minutes but most times about an hour.
And a little more on the hexies – I meant to do more but I got caught up reading of course – another Kindle Unlimited book from WWII takes place in the Netherlands and is called “The Girl With the Red Hair” – The book is based on the story of Hannie Schaft a Dutch resistance fighter she had been a law student when the Germans invaded their country. There had been a Dutch movie made in 1981 about her but I had never heard of her and didn’t even realize the book was based on a real person until I looked it up. There are several books out about her this one is by Imogen Matthews and it was free with unlimited.
How many of my readers have an etsy shop – if you send me the name and address of your etsy shop I plan to make a list of you. At the end of one of my post weekly I will try to put the list at the bottom of my post to help promote your shop. I will try to keep it to a certain day after I get the list entered. I know some of you would like to reach more customers – this will just be a thank you to my readers for this. Nothing expected on my end. This can be easy on my end to do as I would just save a list and paste it in.

Good Morning! I hope your weather wasn’t too bad. That’s nice of you to put together an Etsy shop list. That’ll be fun to look through. I like the signature quilt.
Here is the link to my quilting Etsy shop…https://www.etsy.com/shop/Vickiscraftden
And here is the link to my pattern shop… https://www.etsy.com/shop/PatternsbyVicki Thanks Karen!! Hoping you don’t get the severe T-storms and can sew today.
That signature quilt is so pretty! Did the thunderstorms materialize? I think the rain is essentially over for us. We have a small chance today with cooler temps, but the rest of the week looks pretty dull. Unbelievably, after all the rain we had, it is dry again! That is nice of you to make a list of Etsy shops. I have a shop and sold a few thing in it back in 2013, but it hasn’t been active since, so I won’t add it to your list unless I actually put something up for sale. 😀
Apologies for my absence. Dan and I were gone for the weekend. English Ivy is looking so good. And I love seeing your signature quilt again. That is so awesome of you to give people’s Etsy’s shops a shout out.
Sounds like a nice day – a little sewing, a little reading, doing whatever you wanted! English Ivy is getting there and the quilting is moving along on Carpenter’s Wheel, too. That sounds like a good book! I always like reading about historical women that I never knew about.
Thanks for listing our etsy shops. Mine is https://www.etsy.com/shop/cobblehillquilts
I met the author of a novel about a Jewish girl who worked for the resistance in Amsterdam. I can’t find the name of the book or author – I thought it was A House in Amsterdam, but I can find it listed anywhere. Will share it with you when I do. It was really good!
It was cloudy most of the day here yesterday, but we never got any storms or even any sprinkles. English Ivy is looking good. Hope you can get in some good stitching time with no interuptions from any storms.
English Ivy is looking good. We had clouds most of the morning yesterday, but no rain. I guess you got the stormy parts. An afternoon with a good book sounds like a nice Sunday. Hopefully you can get in some good sewing time this week.
Dear Karen,
The weather is all over the place and we have been getting lots of rain. Just trying to keep up with cutting the grass has been a bit challenging. Thank you for giving a shout out to all the readers who have Etsy shops, that is very kind of you.
Your English Ivy top is looking good. Nothing like getting drawn into a good book. I’ll see if my library has it. We had serious thunderstorm warnings and then barely got a sprinkle of rain. Bummer, as we needed the rain.
English Ivy looks stunning in all of those colors, and layed out in that way. Wow!
Karen recuerdo tu preciosa colcha de firmas, me encanta la de los círculos.

That’s so nice of you to share everyone’s Etsy shops!
The blog readers signature quilt is a wonderful idea!!! Also, adding readers Etsy shops is too. You are filled with great ideas!
It looks like you are using a variety of background fabrics for your hexie quilt. It is so pretty!! I am not hooked on EPP yet.
I love this English Ivy quilt Karen! It is so bright and cheerful! Thanks for sharing with us at Monday Musings!
