I spent part of the morning going though project boxes. I had a bit of fabric put in the box for the Sunny Daze quilt left over so first I went through that separating newsprints from the black and got everything back on the shelves. Then I pulled out the project box holding the Georgetown on My Mind quilt that I started last year in January. I like those blocks and they were not super tough to make although they look complicated and decided I will work on that one next. Right now I would like to concentrate on cleaning up some of the project boxes instead of starting something new (for awhile anyhow)
I have the pattern photo on the wall along with the blocks made – I had started this one as a RSC quilt so I will continue that with each block being one color but not necessarily with the colors the group is doing right now – I’m not even sure which color this month is – I will need to look.
Instead of white background as in on the pattern photo it is gray – several shades.

Six more cups of strawberries picked and cleaned.
Last of the quilt show quilts:
Lots of hand work in this quilt – a lot of detail
part of the number card was cut off – this is what was from the AQS site

and that is it of the show.

I remember your Georgetown beauties, so pretty. I think I saw that the RSC color is green? How long does it take to pick all those strawberries? I’ve only ever picked 2 or 3 so I wouldn’t know – lol! I like that Picasso quilt. It has a Jen Kingwell look to it. Thanks for letting us see the quilt show quilts!
Your strawberries are making you proud! Just a few cups at a time would be all I could handle. I like the Georgetown blocks. It’ll be fun to watch them come together. And NYB is still making my heart sing; love the colors!
The True North quilt really appeals to me! I’m glad to see you pull out Georgetown on My Mind again. I bet you can finish it totally from your stash.
Your Georgetown blocks are really neat – I’m glad to see you’ve got them out to work on again! May’s RSC color is green, which you do already have, but you could add blue or pink which we used in previous months this year. You definitely saw some amazing quilts at the show. “Heartwarming Days” is really something – such tiny pieces!
I love the Move Over Picasso quilt. Lots of fun fabrics and colors in that one.
What a great strawberry harvest this year!
Georgetown is a beauty, nice to see you are working on it again. The RSC color for May is green. I went through some boxes the other day too. Mostly RSC blocks and some other projects I have started. Amazing quilts from the quilt show, thanks for sharing.
I understand the desire to clean out the project boxes. I’ve done a lot of that over the last couple of years, now I just need to quilt all the resulting tops. Georgetown is another gorgeous quilt. It will be fun to see that one come together.
