A little more progress on Georgetown – one more star point to make and two of the big blocks – I wonder what color July will be for the RSC group – we have the main colors already done as far as I can see.
This one was ready for the applique and it got it done before I got the post ready last night.
And here it is on the wall – coming together nicely
More hexies basted inside and outside before the heat got bad.
And quilting on New York Beauty from Tuesday night – that purple mark on the red/white strip fabric is the half way mark so I got a little past that.
And this much left to work on

You are very close to finishing NYB!
I wonder if the next colour for the RSC will be purple…
We are experiencing very hot and humid weather …excellent weather for quilting….inside…where it is air conditioned!
Georgetown looks great!
Those star points add such a pretty accent to those circle blocks!
Like Gail I thought purple for the next RSC color. I don’t keep up with them anymore, but I enjoy seeing others’ projects with them.
We had thundershowers in the area yesterday. Yes of course they mostly missed us, but it dropped the temperature and was so nice to see thunderheads in the sky!
GT is looking great. I forget what the rest of the quilt looks like after you get the center done. Will you follow the pattern or do your own thing?
Each time you add a new section to Georgetown, the look changes! The RSC hasn’t done purple yet, although you already have your purple circle block finished. We also haven’t done turquoise, which would be a color you could use. Do you have an idea for your last two circles? I’ll enjoy seeing what you decide!
I was thinking the next color might be turquoise. You could easily add a red and pink block for variety. I don’t think you would be wanting brown or black and white as future choices.
I think a turquoise block would go well and it would pick up the circle you just did. Then maybe a medium brown. Beige too light and chocolate too dark. Can’t wait to see the whole picture of your NYB. Its gonna be stunning. ?
You’re getting so close on NYB! I’m glad you’re still able to do some stitching outdoors. We received a very unexpected shower yesterday. It was only .09 inches be we were happy to get it.
Georgetown is looking great. Those hexies are a great project to work on outside. The quilting is looking awesome. Finally not busy so I can get back to blog reading… and stitching a bit I hope.
Oh wow, NYB is soooo close! It’s probably too hot to be outside and do anything else! We actually cooled to 80 today.
