Well I worked off and on all day working on Hexies – and the first corner for Noriko’s Star is finished – now I need to sew it to the body of the quilt. When that is done I will lay it out and take a photo.
For now here is what it looks like
I turned under the edges that will be trimmed and needed a close up of the final black pieces for the next corner. I will use black binding so there will be black over the edges of white which will carry the black from corner to corner. Linking to Jennifer’s Wednesday Wait Loss #443
I reversed the photo so I can have a copy for the opposite sides to make sure the lay out is right – I moved a couple photos out of place from the diagram. I put these on Instagram as it is very easy for me to go through my photos there and pull it up for reference.
I did get started getting the corner sewed on briefly last night but not much got done – I do not have it all on top of me – it is draped all over the place.
And quilting on The Rose Garden from Monday night.

So glad your corner worked out perfectly!
The corner for Noriko’s Star looks really good, Karen. I’m loving the quilting on Rose Star.
That corner is impressive! Love the black hexies, such a great look. How do you like that new chair?
I may not always comment on it, but I love the quilting on Rose Garden and stare at your even, pretty stitches!
It hit 100° here yesterday, 101° predicted today.
That new section of NS looks great! So glad it worked out the way you planned. Neat idea to reverse the photo to see how it looks going the other way, too. I’ve never done that with a photo – makes me wonder if I know how, lol!
Look at you go! I can see how huge the quilt is by the photo of it draped in the floor. Another milestone accomplished!!!
Nice looking corner!! That’s a long path to get it all sewn onto the top.
That corner looks great! It’s such a awesome quilt. Still a lot to do yet, but you’ve moved pretty quickly with that corner.
So exciting how close to a finish on Noriko’s Star you are getting! Love the quilting on Rose Garden. Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.
