I spent time on the porch for awhile listening to my book and working on hexies. These were from Tuesday night.
And I decided to make three of the shorter rows and then will put together I had intended to go back outside to continue working on these once they were thread basted as less chance that they would fly away if a breeze came but I was really tired and never did get back outside to do that.
So this is where I continued working on them last night while watching tv.
This much was done on Tuesday night
Connecting Threads is having a labor day sale – use this code: 8LBW25 the sale ends September 7th
Green Fairy – Riley Blake pre-cuts 50 to 70% off I think four more days
Knit Picks – Labor Day Sale – 20% off use code: 8LABOR25 ends on the 7th
AccuQuilts – various products are on sale check the sales tab on their site if interesting – too many things to name.

How nice you got to sit outside! Hopefully you’ll continue to be able to do that, although you might dodge a few showers. You are making amazing progress on your hexies, even with getting tired.
Your corner is really coming along, the rest will go fast since it is much smaller.
Sounds nice to be able to be out on the porch with an audio book and stitching hexies! That section has really come along in the last week or so. You must be having some good outdoor weather. We finally got a nice rainstorm yesterday after weeks of dry weather – it gave us a hint of fall!
Very nice progress despite your feeling tired.

I have been digging back through your old posts, especially the tutorials on your sidebar, to see how you do your EPP. I saw you were glue basting rather than thread basting at one time but I don’t think you do it that way anymore? I have an EPP book that advises one swipe of glue on the paper template to hold the template in position initially, but then thread basting with a tacking stitch at each corner for EPP with 1″ shapes. I have two blocks coming up in my next batch for Stonefields that have rosettes made from tiny 3/8″ finished side hexies appliqued in the center and since I got the little papers for them with my pattern I am going to try to make them that small, just trying to refresh on the method because I only did EPP twice, once for a random sampler block (don’t think that turned out well) and another time for a mosaic alphabet letter block I printed out from EQ. You have been cranking out so many hexies for so long now that YOU are my expert EPP resource!
