I just barely did any sewing yesterday daytime. I was reading a book and then went to get grocery shopping done plus the stop at the pharmacy for my flu & covid shot which seemed to take forever sitting and waiting for my turn. Finally I got done and picked up my prescriptions and started my shopping. It seemed like I spent all afternoon there – of course I didn’t but it felt like it!
A little more was done on hexies while watching a show on Sunday night and again while watching the evening news on Monday evening. After this row of red flowers the next row will start another flower – it is getting there.
Quilting on The Rose Garden from Sunday night finished up this border
It was ready to roll down last night and you can it is getting closer to a finish. One more stretch of Stars before it is mainly just cross hatching – in the very last part of the border there is a star in each corner which will take a little time also.
I didn’t work on Santa for Silent Night once again but hope to do a little today.

I had my covid and flu shots last week, too. No ill effects, thank goodness. Hope yours is the same.
Glad you got that shopping done, it’s a chore sometimes. The last flu shot I had was in the 1970s! I had a bad reaction to it (yikes), so I don’t do them anymore. I love seeing the flowers on your hexies.
I’m sewing the rows together on the charity quilt and will probably send it on to be finished by Carolyn this week. I keep debating with myself to finish it, but I don’t have any batting or flannel to use as batting and don’t want to wait for an order. Hopefully I can start quilting the Christmas quilt today.

I haven’t done much at my sewing machine in the last few days either. Sometimes life just gets in the way! We have our covid shots scheduled for Friday, got flu last week. I’m always glad to get those chores taken care of! You’re moving along nicely with that last corner of NS, and with quilting the Rose Garden, too. That’s always a good feeling!
As disciplined as you are in working on your projects, having a slow day is well deserved.
You’ve made steady progress on all your progress. It may seem like it takes forever, but it’s the best way to get things moved all the list. Hopefully you are feeling much better today and all the soreness from the garden work is gone.
I will go get my shots in a few weeks, yes I hate the waiting in line too as it feels like we are wasting time. I sewed enough yesterday for the both of us!! Hope to get lots done today also.
You are going to have a finished quilt and a finished top (or 2) soon. Then it will be time to choose the next project. You probably have enough left over flannel to make another quilt. I need to get all of my cut pieces made into flannel quilts soon.
Hope you had no ill effects from the shots. NS is looking great as is the Rose quilt on the frame. Enjoy the sunshine.
I haven’t accomplished much this week either. My Mom had eye surgery and follow up appointment. That took up most of 2 days, but I don’t mind. I got some crocheting done while I waited. Rose Garden is really coming along and so is Noriko’s Star. You will be starting 2 new projects before the end of the year.
