Not Much Done (at home)

Melanie and I had never got shopping done on the weekend as we had planned and she had a day off today for a change so we spent the afternoon out.  We were gone longer than I thought we would be so I’m glad I got the bottom border added to Silent Night in the morning – so two more to go – it was another wet deck day and I didn’t do anything with the hexies to finish it – it needs to be squared up and I will work this week on it – I’m not in a rush.  It will be kind of wet out there all week I think.  I want to take my time getting the sides done and not make mistakes.

Silent Night laid out on the quilting frame – this is the length laying across.  Almost as long at The Rose Garden is wide.

The Rose Garden more quilting on Sunday night

Some of the blossoms are almost ready to open on these two

I am drinking a lot less coffee then I had been so I wanted to find some small coffee cups I was looking on Amazon and saw this set of 4 that reminds me of quilting designs for some reason!  It came with the wire rack to hold them and 4 saucers.  Which do come in handy as my 8 oz selection on the Keurig Machine filled it up

Enjoying my one cup of coffee yesterday morning that I am having now – I might add another at some point but it was time to cut back on the 4 or so cups that I had been drinking.  It wasn’t hard to do as in the immediate days after I had my surgery in August I just didn’t want any for some reason and I had no withdrawal from it – it has just been in the last week or so that I started to feel like having a cup in the morning again.

What cute mugs! I’m glad you didn’t have withdrawal. I used to drink coffee all day when I was younger, and I would get headaches without coffee.
We are supposed to be in the 40s at night this week, starting tonight, I bet you get into the 30s?
We had great news when we woke up this morning. Our neighbors, whose dog escaped on Saturday, found her! She was spotted in 2 places west of us, and we walked the country roads for hours yesterday looking for her. Got our steps in for sure. She is 15 and has arthritis, so what a blessing she was found. Now I think I can finally get back in the sewing room. 😉

I have one white blossom fully open and several buds. No action yet on my other plants. I really like your coffee cup set. We are expecting a front to come through (dry) today bringing lots of wind.

Your quilting frame is a handy place to lay another quilt top out on while you’re working on it! I like the scrappy green border. Those are pretty mugs. Sounds like a good idea to have mugs that fit the size that your Keurig makes. Coffee is such a part of my morning routine since retiring that it is hard to imagine not having any at all!

I didn’t realize just how tall those trees are till this photo of them. Amazing quilting as always,Karen. I’m slightly sensitive to caffeine and lately I’ve been drinking half caf coffee…I found Maud’s Half Caf on Amazon and like it. Love those mugs too.

Cute cups. I noticed a withdrawal from coffee after I had a flu bug a bit ago and did not have any for 3 days. I do 2 keurig 12 Oz ones, then water for the rest of the day. That tree quilt is taller than I was thinking. Dreary day gere but cooler.

I have never drank coffee and get my caffeine from Dr. Pepper or Zero Sugar Pepsi, one can a day.
The green border is looking good on the Santa quilt.

Sometimes you need the time out of the house, especially with all the rain recently. Normally I have 2 cups of coffee in the morning, but lately I’ve been stopping at one. I’ll probably go back to the second cup as it gets colder in the mornings. You found some fun cups for your smaller cups. Happy stitching this week.
