Busy day finishing off that block for Jack’s Chain and going through fabric – that block is pinned to the wall – it might get moved but not now. Another green is being planned.

Quilting on Noriko’s Star – from Monday night – I finished the one little edge that needed finishing and rolled down the quilt – I hadn’t mentioned I had lost a needle the previous day – I really thought it had fallen to the floor and I couldn’t find it. Well – I rolled the quilt down and when I tighten the quilt up I go back afterwards and kind of push up on the quilt layers a little bit from the underside to loosen it up slightly so it is not too tight – well I did that and I was getting ready to pin to the side feeders and ran my hand over the quilt top and the needle popped up!! it had gotten trapped between the layers – it must have went straight through so I couldn’t see or feel it but it popped back up – wasn’t that lucky.
When I rolled it down you could see the center of the quilt
Jigsaw Puzzle one more finished and one more left to do.
Knitting the afghan I couldn’t find more yarn in case I need it at Hobby Lobby where I had gotten it but they did have on line so I ordered more than I need there I’m sure and it arrived. Good match too – the colors are brighter than this photo shows

I have been asked by my international readers where I stand on our President – I will say right here even if it cost me readers I do not like him and I do not support him or his lunatic policies. I never voted for him. I wish the 25th amendment was invoked and he would be removed from office. I also think he is mentally and physically unfit for the job. I do not think we need Greenland and I’m totally opposed to him and his followers thinking we need it — that is what NATO is for and Denmark is a part of it therefore Greenland is too – we would come to their aide – they have free health care, free college – lots of parental leave for having a baby – why would they want our expensive health care? Student loans? Anyway that is where I stand on that. Yes I think we need to have policies in place for too many illegal immigrants but it all has to be handled humanly – what ICE is doing in Minnesota and other places is not humane and it needs to be gotten under control the right way – what is the right way? I do not know but what they are doing is not right. I can not be silent any longer I find it mentally depressing to not make a statement on where I stand.

You have my support and thanks for speaking up! Every day I am sickened by the obvious lies, massive corruption, disregard for law, terrible cruelty, and sheer insanity. It goes deeper than one man, though—Project 2025 is being pushed to completion by Miller and Vought. I am hoping that our system will still be able to pull us out of this.
You know I am with you on your political stance. You said that very well! And thank goodness you found that needle, too. It would be very uncomfortable to find a needle inside a quilt that you’re sleeping under!
You were lucky to find the lost needle! As for your political opinions, I think you have every right to express your feelings! I try very hard to stay politically neutral on social media, but I am very concerned about violations of basic human rights. I really thought we were better than that.
Glad you found that needle and didn’t get stabbed by it! I never found one I lost at the ironing board where I was burying threads.

Thank you Karen! Well said. I lost a pin in a quilt for my grandson once. It came out and he said he almost lost an eye with it. Lol. So dramatic. He’s still using the quilt so it didn’t bother him that much I guess. :^)
I totally agree on that last part. Sad to say, too many assume that my disagreement with current occupant & minions means that I’m in total agreement with the D’s, which I’m not. They do plenty to tick me off too.
Anyway…I found a pin in a quilt I’d been using the quilt for several years, finally got poked by it one night. Could I find it? Nooooooo! I finally got poked again while making the bed, this time found it and worked it out under the edge of the applique. It was a big old pin, used by mom years ago when she made the blocks. As to the green fabrics you decided not to use – good call. They seem a bit drab and dull compared to all the other happy colors you’ve used.
It took courage to share your opinions. Thank you for speaking up. I totally agree that he should be taken out of office and ICE should be charged for violations not only of law but of humanity.

It seems that your quilting of your amazing quilt is going so much faster than the three years it took you to sew it. I totally agree with you about our president. I never thought he would get the nomination of the
Republican Party! Wow, was I ever wrong. I was even thinking of writing in Mickey Mouse before voting for him. I always thought of him as a poseur but now am convinced he is much worse. To think Greenland is important as part of our national defense makes me laugh. We have gotten through two world wars without Greenland. Denmark has never been a threat! I think all this ICE is ridiculous and dangerous. These ICE people are very akin to hired thugs and Gestapo to me. This is about states that voted Democrat. Texas and Florida have far larger numbers of undocumented minorities but they are not targeted by ICE because they voted for Trump.
I grew up as a military child and lived on bases. I understand law and order very well. I also spent childhood years in Washington, D.C. Trump has not removed the Swamp. He brought in new members. Our family’s economy has not improved at all since Trump became president again–ha ha; it has become much worse. Hopefully after income tax time I can see an improvement. Our diets have improved because we are not buying much beef. It is too expensive! We are eating more cheese. So, should I thank Trump? I am sure he is eating lots of beef. He eats anything he wants. He does not care about the poor or the struggling elderly. Just look what he did with health care for Americans. We don’t need Greenland–we need to look after our own people here with compassion.
Thank you Karen! I am in total agreement and tell my congressional reps on a weekly basis to impeach this lunatic. What is wrong with the congressional Republicans that they are silent? On his social media posts last night he has placed the American flag over Canada, Greenland and Venezuela. He is destroying NATO and in so doing giving Putin the green light to go after Europe, starting with Ukraine, Latvia and then on to Poland and the rest of Europe. NATO was the only thing stopping Putin. He is showing that China can take Taiwan and North Korea can go after South. What ICE is doing is similar to Hitler’s Gestapo, they work for him and are full of his Proud Boys. They and he must be stopped. And by the way, I haven’t forgotten about the long overdue Epstein files!
Although I live on the other side of the world, and don’t want to get entangled in USA politics, or upset anyone, I have to say that his outrageous rants and claims are a worry worldwide. Surely this is not normal presidential behaviour?
I agree that it took courage to express your opinions. I agree 100%. Every day I watch the news and get more upset than the day before. It frightens me the mess our kids are going to be left with when he and his minions are long gone.

I’m glad you found the needle. It bothers me if I drop a pin or needle and I’m searching with my magnet and a flashlight until I find it.
What bothers me too is the R congressman who are on their hands and knees kissing his feet. Where are their spines? They need to stand tall and take action.

all around us. DJT is unfit for office and the members of his party who continue to support him are spineless cowards.
I support your right to speak up and comment about the state of your nation. We are worried in Canada as now it seems there is no end to what President Trump might do and the usual balances and checks don’t seem to be in place anymore. A situation that is very troubling as time goes on.

I’m with you 100% and l, like Wanda, can’t understand why the Republicans in Congress have abdicated their Constitutional responsibilities. I know from comments made on other blogs and on Instagram that people from other countries believe all Americans support this outrageous behavior, so we need to speak up. And we must remain vigilant about the upcoming mid-tern elections, because he is going to do whatever he can to disrupt them. Thank you for speaking out.
I was away a couple of days from your blog and only today I read your comment. I totally agree with you and, being not American, I’m quite afraid for this situation. The thought that Greenland is a menace is ridiculous (polar bears invading Washington?). It’s like he exchanged the real world for a Risiko play. And if tomorrow he was interested in somewhat else in Europe? Not that on the other side, on the East of Europe, we are getting better. Thanks to have shared your opinion, glad to know.
